Such a beautiful place, lovely buildings and amazing grounds and views.
We lived the swimming pool but the water could have been a little warmer!

Very comfortable bed, clean room with everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent. Stunning building and grounds. The 2 bedroom suite was a bit small, but still allowed our teenager to have her own private space which she enjoyed.
Suite was quite all which was tricky whilst three of us were trying to get ready to go to a wedding.

This is a lovely period property, and the newer elements have been designed sympathetically. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. The rural setting was great.
The barman was very rude, accusing us of not paying for coffee when we had paid one of his colleagues. It really spoiled our wedding anniversary celebration to be accused of stealing. The waiters/waitresses were mostly sweet but very young and were not being well managed, so that for example our starter arrived before our drinks at dinner. The Tudor building is very atmospheric but it means the floorboards are creaky and thin, so it’s not completely quiet. We were v disappointed that there was not a jacuzzi: as other reviewers have noted, it’s just part of the swimming pool so the water is cold and not relaxing. The toilet in the changing rooms was broken and the showers were not clean. Most of the lockers were broken. Sadly, the hotel needs investment and better management.
