The authenticity that it still has and the wine cellar was absolutely stunning. The food was amazing and very delightful.
The showers are a bit too small to be able to wash up while keeping the water running and was a little disappointed that there is not a small gift shop.

We stayed for a wedding and didn't want to have to rely on taxis, otherwise would have stayed in a local village.
We were in 'the tower' in a very small, dated and dark room. I understand the idea of being sympathetic to the age of the building but the room was just full of old furniture then the bathroom seemed to have been decorated in the 90s so that was dated in a different way; a shower that leaked all over the bathroom floor with a mouldy curtain. The room was stifling but the bed was comfy enough.
Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.
The room - overpriced for what it was.
