Located in New Braunfels, this lovely house for $354 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. 5/2.5 home. Sleeps 14. Master: King. 2nd bedroom: Queen. 3rd bedroom: Queen. 4th bedroom: Full over Full bunk bed & a Twin bed. 5th bedroom: Twin over Twin bunk. Upstairs living room: Full over Full bunk 2 dogs allowed under 40lbs. No Smoking. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email. Includes shared Comal River access May through September, less than a 3-minute walk from the house. Avoid the crowds at the tube chute and enter the river through this shared access down a pathway and stairs to enter the river. The pathway is approximately 3 ft wide and the stairs down to the river access are narrow, approximately 2 ft wide. Delightful downtown New Braunfels, TX home that is walking distance to the Comal River Tube Chute, Schlitterbahn waterpark, golfing, swimming, dining, shopping, and dancing. Across the street you will find a tubing shuttle and rental. This property is just minutes from the I-35 corridor with access to San Antonio (25 min) and downtown Austin (45 min). Take a short drive (5 min) to Gruene for shopping, dining, dancing, and the Guadalupe river floating. Brand new mattresses throughout the house and new sectional in living room and upstairs has a new sofa!! This spacious 5-bedroom, 2.5 bath is perfect for a family retreat. It comes fully furnished, top to bottom with towels, linens, cookware, washer, dryer, TV's, and more! Relax with a cold beverage on the front porch or play in the large, fenced yard. Small sun deck, outdoor covered deck for dining. BBQ pit available on premises. The Star Haus will meet all your vacation needs! Historic home with lots of character! Spacious living room with cable TV and Wifi. Fully equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. Family style large dining table with 9 seats and another table that seats 4. Upstairs there is an additional living room very spacious with a full over full bunk bed, and cable TV. Three bedrooms upstairs. The first has a queen size bed, second with a full over full bunkbed and a twin and the third with a twin over twin bunkbed. There is a guest bathroom upstairs. This house can sleep 14 comfortably. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. Parking for up to 5 vehicles. This property is dog friendly with a 2 dog maximum at $25 per day per dog. Dogs must be under 40lbs. Current shot records are required. Please make sure your breed is not on the do not rent to breed list, no smoking, no parties. Residential area of New Braunfels. This home has a maximum occupancy of 14 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. We stayed here for our girls wedding weekend and it was more than accommodating! There were enough beds for all 12 of us to have our own bed! And i Think even some left over. Easily could’ve fit a handful more! The only issue is the parking. You can only park 3-4 cars in the driveway and 2 on the street so it’s makes a pretty difficult for 12+ people all driving separate to find parking. We made it work but it was definitely a headache. Other than that, the “private access” is a little difficult to find and you defiantly need to drive if you’re bringing all your coolers and tubes.
Over all the house was extremely comfortable, well insulated (which can be an issue with older houses) and very clean! I would defiantly stay again!!

How was as advertised and a very short drive from Shlitterbahn. The kitchen was better stocked than expected. The management did a very nice and prompt job of resolving two minor issues. They were much better at issue resolution than most renters. The layout of the upstairs bed rooms worked well for kids - lots of beds but in separate rooms. A few other notes:1. A few of the rooms really are ready for a coat of paint.2. Like many places, many of the light fixtures had very low voltage bulbs. 3. Like many older houses, there are bumps in the floor in the doorways. It would not be a good house for someone using a walker or who had balance issues. Also, the stairs were steeper than most - no big deal for most people but it would be problematic for a few.

Home was perfect for our group! We had our two grown children and their families which Included our 4 grand sons! There was plenty of space and beds for everyone! The boys loved the bunk beds. Porches were perfect to enjoy the evenings, there were deer that came into the yard every evening. The boys loved it! Kitchen was well stocked, dining room had large table and we shared family meals every night! It was a great family trip, perfect home for what we needed.

If you love old Texas houses, this is the place for you! Giant kitchen, great front and back porch, big yard to spread out and super comfy living room. It's a little big for 2 people, but we certainly enjoyed it.

The house was roomy enough for our large party of 13 people, and we had a great time. The couch bed upstairs is abysmal though... don't plan on using it. It's 150 years old so the house is a little quirky (some doors don't close all the way, etc) but if you go in understanding that it's wonderful.

Awesome house
I would suggest replacing living room furniture. Hard and low to ground. Someone had broken lazy boy and taken off the lever leaving a hole. Need better toilet paper. Otherwise great property.

The house is in pretty rough shape. No doors close or lock properly including the front door which has heat coming through it all day. Kids kept getting stuck inside the half bath. The back door knob kept falling off also. All of the doors and hardware are the originals from 1919 and do not work. The long metal dining table has a sharp corner that was duck-taped to hide the sharp edge sliced up several of us. The house is 100 years old, so I expected some issues. Many floor boards creak throughout the house as well. The refrigerator water is undrinkable and the ice smelled - needs filer replacement. There are only 2 TVs in the whole house. One in the living room where there is a couch that you can’t even sit on. It’s the sleeper sofa and can’t even sit comfortably on it. Recliner doesn’t work either. Upstairs is a futon that no one could possibly sleep on as we could barely sit on it in front of the only other TV in the house. The location is good but there may be a bar nearby because you hear cars start up and blare loud music every night between 11 and 2 am.

Family vacation at starhaus
We did have to call maintenance a couple times but they fixed it within an hour each time. The beds down stairs were comfortable. The beds upstairs were not very comfy. Overall the stay was good and we had a great time.

The house was great! Plenty of room for our group of 11. We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the home and feel. The location was the best part of this house. With the private river access and one block walk to the tube rentals and a few blocks to downtown you are set up for everything you need. Met the owners of the Beaver Bend park and they were very nice and accommodating. All in all, great trip and great host.

This house definitely has a lot of charm. The location is great! As we pulled up there were deer roaming around on the streets. The people in the area were very friendly. Access to tubing was very very close (which was great). The house is definitely big enough for everyone to feel like they have space and are not bunched on top of each other. There were a few hiccups but the management took care of any issues immediately. I do still have a few recommendations. Obviously the house is older and it does have an older smell. Plug-ins or scentsy would probably be quite effective. The couches really need to be replaced. The big couch sinks in so bad, that it was very hard to get situated without leaning onto the person beside you. The king bed upstairs is terribly squeaky. You really can't move any part of your body without it making a lot of noise. We weren't sure how because we are very adamant about closing the doors but the flies still manage to come in so we did kill a lot of flies. A nice set of kitchen would be wonderful as we did cook our entire stay. If you require things such as the bbq pit to be cleaned or face a fine, please verify the previous guests cleaned it as well. We came in to a pit full of old charcoal etc but was not emptied. Which we did of course. I will say again how impressed I was with the management's communication. They were extremely helpful and quick to respond.
