The location was beautiful and super peaceful. Monaara Leisure is true to its name, where we saw many monaras (aka peacocks) roaming around. The food was delicious with a good variety of dishes. The room was also very clean, had many power outlets and a bedside reading lamp, which was important for me personally. The staff were also very friendly and accommodated all our needs!! If you're looking for an affordable yet quality place to stay in Anuradhapura - I would highly recommend this hotel!

Convenience location
Overall, I found this stay disappointing and not worth the money spent. The property is poorly maintained, with visible signs of neglect and a lack of proper upkeep. For example, a carrom board was available but unusable due to missing coins, which reflects the lack of attention to detail. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the staff were not particularly friendly or attentive, which made the experience less enjoyable. Considering the price point, I expected a much higher standard of service and facilities. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made.
