Loved the view from our front facing bedroom, absolutely stunning.
We didn’t have any negatives about the property.
Only thing I’d mention is that the 10% discount offered for Salt & Thistle by showing room card was not accepted/honoured by the restaurant.

Rooms were lovely and the breakfast is fantastic! Great sea views and accessible parking. We would absolutely come back when we visit again next year.
We almost lost our booking as almost all the ferries were cancelled due to storm Boelo and there are no refunds for ferry cancellations. Check weather closer to your stay.

Burlington Guest House is situated in a beautiful location. Just across the road from a beach and with superb views out to sea.
The breakfast was excellent, and the German woman cooking and serving could not have been more delightful and welcoming.
The wi-fi was terrible and almost non-existent in our room (room 10). Both sub-nets constantly dropped and even when working were snail-paced. I checked the overall speeds at various times during our two-day stays and at maximum it was around 11mbps/s down and 4mbp/s up. These days guests expect reasonable connectivity, especially if they need to work. Decent broadband isn't expensive for guest houses and if there are 'dead spots' in the building repeaters are very cheap. If wi-fi isn't reliable, don't advertise it as being available.
There were clearly some other corners cut. Room heating was centrally controlled, so you can't come in cold from walking the hillsides, turn the heating on, and warm up. Summer duvet and lack of extra blankets in October was another issue. We had to ask for extra blankets. Fine, but would expect them to be available in the room.
One other niggle was lack of tissues in the bathroom or room.

Breakfast was good.
It was difficult to access our bags as there was little space in the room and no luggage rack.
The bed and pillows need to be replaced.
