We liked the location, its central(ish) location meant that we were easily able to walk to our destination, mostly without the use of taxis. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel at all, there are far more exciting culinary offerings in Barcelona.
Check in was painfully long and drawn out, not ideal after a very early start and travel (flights).
The pool was a welcome spot after a long morning visiting the Sagrada Familiar however the bar does not open until 4pm, so you had to leave the roof top and go down to reception to order refreshments, not ideal if you've just had a refreshing swim.

Bed was super comfortable, also the balcony had a nice view.
Staff and reception – 10/10: Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay.
Design and location – 10/10: The hotel has a very nice design and is in an excellent location.
Transport: Very close to Verdaguer metro station (L4/L5), which makes it easy to get around the city and reach the airport.
Nearby amenities: Many shops, a tobacconist, supermarkets, and restaurants are all within walking distance.
Very dusty room: Cleanliness could be improved.
Thin walls: We could hear almost everything from other rooms and the hallway.
Limited storage: Due to the chic, modern design, there was almost no space to put clothes, and there were no drawers.
Bathroom not practical: There were no hangers in the bathroom.
Poor sound insulation in bathroom: The bathroom walls were very thin as well.
+1: The toilet door on the mezzanine floor got stuck, and we had to force the door open with the staff. This delayed us on our way to the airport. Given the inconvenience, it would have been nice if the staff had offered a small complimentary gesture or at least called a taxi for us.
