had issues at home, came for 2hrs on sat. wanted to fish on sunday but wasnt aware that sheets and towel had to be
washed, apparently my mistake. when i got house rules it was to late for back up my wife couldnt stay horses to feed. and fishing had to be early. nice place I'll try again!

Would absolutely recommend this property. We would definitely stay here again. Very peaceful neighborhood. Close to restaurants and state parks. This home has everything you need,no need to bring anything. We caught alot of fish right off the dock. The kayaks were a great treat. Barb and Ray were very easy to communicate with. We had no problems at all. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. Thanks so much.

We loved the screened porch… and being right on the water. The house is small.. especially the second bedroom and bath. It is dated but comfortable. It was immaculately clean. Communication with owners was terrific. It isn’t a 5 star hotel— but for the price it was very good. Great location close to restaurants and nature. Cozy and quaint apply.

A great property in a great part of a great state.
We enjoyed this area of Florida. Lots of options for outdoor activities. From the manatees to the bike trails, we loved it all.
The property was just as described, with lots of little extras that suited us perfectly. Fishing off the dock, interacting with the herons, etc. etc.
Perfect location. Very quiet, but close to many things.

The home is in a great location just a short paddle from where the Manatee gather to stay warm. Easy to use the kayaks right from the dock. This rental was stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely rent again.

My mother and I had a very relaxing stay in Homosassa. Seeing the dolphins, jumping fish, turtles, many birds (including my new buddy Henry the heron) everyday, brought us smiles.
We loved how close the property was to many restaurants, parks, and shopping. The use of a kayak was a bonus.

My husband, kids and I enjoyed this little house for a 3 night stay. Everything was well described and check-in and out was super simple. We used the dock for our 25ft SeaHunt with no issues. The property is super close to the Springs and the kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock.

The home and property is very nice. Boat dock, screened porch area, and easy access to the river is what we needed and exactly what we got. Just needed a little more time over in Homosassa because the weekend is just not enough. We did not have any AC concerns mentioned by previous guests. After all day scalloping in the heart, getting back to the home was refreshing and peaceful. Thank you so much for sharing you home.

Really good for our purposes
Typical property for Homosassa, and the owners strive to make it inviting and comfortable with just about every amenity you could think of. A slight critique would be that there are a number of deferred maintenance items and a few areas of the house were not as clean as perhaps we would have liked. The master bathroom in particular was umm 'not fresh' let's say, so with Clorox wipes in hand, we addressed it ourselves. Other than those minor things, this was a really good experience and we want to emphasize how much effort the hosts put into the property and to make double sure we were well taken care of.

The AC unit must be replaced not “fixed” to solve this problem . The coil iced over (obviously a recurring problem) due to several factors. The AC unit is 30 years old, too small of a tonnage for the house after the house was added on to and no vents were put in the rooms that were added.
There are window units there at the house to put in when the AC breaks down. (May 2022)

Heaven on the River
This charming river cottage exceeded our expectations. Great location close to everything but was very quiet. Just what we were looking for. Clean and comfortable. We hoghly recommend it! The owners were terrific!

Great place on the water!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and the location is excellent. In the early morning we were able to see manatee from our dock. Since we didn’t bring a boat, having kayaks on site was a big selling point for us. We were able to kayak every day; there were more than enough places to explore and we always saw manatee. We brought our own bikes and enjoyed riding around the area and some very nice bike trails not too far away. This is a great place for an active day on the river or bike trails followed by a relaxing happy hour on the lanai. We cooked dinner most nights – the kitchen had everything we needed - but there are many restaurants close by. We hope to visit again.

Right on canal a very short kayak to main Homosassa River and Springs. A manatee swam right up to the dock on our last day. Lots of fish jumping in the canal including some big Gar (no biters for me, but the Mangrove Snappers do :) Amazingly friendly herons of three different types and also a stork. A few turtles in early morning. Paddle during the day, then BBQ and watch the sunset!
