Excellent hotel in a wonderful location, with great places to visit nearby.
The food was excellent, and the lovely summer BBQ as well.
The spa and swimming pools are beautiful and peaceful after a long day. The swimming pool water was lovely and warm and beautiful surroundings.
Excellent location for visiting Bolzano, Krontplatz and the Dolomites.

The property is beautiful, rooms are nicely sized and the gardens are well maintained. The spa was massive which was good as it meant it was very easy to find your own space.
This property gets a lot of negative comments regarding the staff but the management don’t seem to care. Will provide some examples as these really dampened our trip:
- Our bedroom light malfunctioned one day (easy fix). It took 3 calls to reception over 9 hours for them to fix this. When I mentioned we shouldn’t have had to follow up the receptionist said “well I wasn’t on shift when you first called”
- We had the half board option and every dinner was honestly a disaster, each night was worse than the next (good food though). It was impossible to get any service, sometimes you would see a waiter explaining a menu properly to one table then followed by throwing the menus at other guests and barely interacting with them. When the incorrect drinks were brought to us the waiter blamed us: “you said you wanted this”, and then we were charged for the incorrect drinks anyway even though we didn’t take them. Sometimes there was no one to greet at the front of the restaurant so we were left standing there. One rogue staff member asked “don’t you know which table you have” and then was a bit embarrassed when we said we had been seated at a different table every night (clearly this was not supposed to happen!!)
- When checking out, we asked whether the hotel gets negative comments about the staff experience. They said “yes we get a lot of complaints in summer because it is busy” (by the way, meal times were not busy and less than half the tables were occupied). So obviously they know and don’t care, and also make excuses which they should not do
- Also when checking out they said we didn’t pay which I had done so before we even arrived. They kept pushing back until I got the proof up on my phone, they then demanded to take my phone away to check further.
