An My friend and I spent a wonderful long weekend in July at Hotel Badia Hill, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. I came back to spend a weekend alone and it was wonderful. I’ll describe our experience from July.
This is a stunning adults-only boutique hotel tucked in the Dolomites, small enough to feel intimate, but every detail is thought through. Perched on top of a hill (hence the name), the hotel feels like sitting in the middle of a natural amphitheater, surrounded by mountains. The greenery around the property is beautiful, and it’s clear every corner has been carefully cared for.
The spa, on the top floor of the hotel, is just as impressive — the pool and saunas open up to the most breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomites. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its team. The staff are young and warm, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy their work and enjoy working together, and with the guests. When you see a team like this, you know something is being done right in how the hotel is run.
Check-in is often underestimated, but it’s really the first contact you have with a hotel — much like meeting someone new, where those first few seconds shape your whole perception. Everything was managed perfectly by Ginevra, who made us feel instantly at home. We were also offered a fantastic welcome drink — compliments to the barman for his excellent cocktails.
Breakfast is simply amazing — an exquisite buffet, everything carefully selected and thoughtfully put together. Taking your coffee afterward on the terrace, overlooking the Dolomites, is one of the highlights of the stay. At the bistro and breakfast, Lucrezia took wonderful care of us — professional, witty, and genuinely warm.
The hotel is run by a couple, an excellent sommelier and an excellent chef, and it shows — the perfect combination for running a place like this.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff was friendly and efficient. Immaculate facilities. Breakfast buffet was superb, with amazing bread and pastries, near cheeses, juices and coffee

Amenities, location, nice clean modern hotel, breakfast.
Stuff… there was always nobody at reception desk, and I wanted to ask advices about best hikes, and tourists attractions, but whenever I came couldn’t catch them…
Also lots of times you asked them something and they would do the opposite. For example, the mini bar was empty we ordered Coca Cola Zero and normal coffee (not decaf), and after 25 mins they’ve brought cola with sugar, forgot about coffee, then brought coffee but decaf. Then they would ask you at breakfast if you want juice with ice and bring it without. When I was injured (felt from bike) I’ve asked where is the nearest hospital and it took them a while to google it and find out, while you would expect hotel to know it… they are polite and nice people and probably were trying their best, but I would say it could be improved
