About this house rental
Nestled in New Buffalo, this attractive house for $560 per night is a great option for your next trip. Thanks for checking out our vacation home! Built in 2020, Fort North is located at the end of a dead end street in a quiet and quaint neighborhood. The house is walkable to everything- 3 blocks from Main Street downtown, 6 blocks from beach. It overlooks the Galien River Marsh with spectacular views from the balcony. Relax on the sprawling front porch and enjoy the sunset over the marsh or choose to eat dinner on the back patio. We are located just minutes away from restaurants like The Stray Dog and Caseys as well as the grocery store, quaint downtown shops, and the public beach. Our favorite is enjoying strawberry ice cream at Nancy's after a late afternoon walk. Just steps away, you can spend the day chilling at the private heated association pool. Close to the local casino, wineries, and breweries, the house is designed for large groups and the neighborhood is family friendly. The kitchen/dining area has seating for 12 and in includes a stocked kitchen with a gas stove and custom cabinets. The living room features a gas fireplace, perfect for curling up with a book. There is an additional living space with bar, table, and beverage fridge in the basement. You will love the peaceful, relaxing vibe our house has!

The stay was great. The location was easy to get to and it was walkable to everything in town The amenities in the house are great. We had 12 girls stay in the house comfortably and be everyone enjoyed the stay.

We had a wonderful stay; the house was perfect for both adults and kids. The pool and proximity to the beach and town were great!

We came on a family trip here with 4 adults and 5 kids under 6. The house is stocked with all of the towels, beach towels and beach gear we needed. We loved playing shuffleboard and foozball in the basement. Lots of meals were enjoyed on the front porch. The neighborhood pool was close and perfect for our young kids. It's just a couple blocks to everything in town- we walked to dinner/ice cream every night. The beach is ~1/2 mile away. We walked to the beach one time and decided to drive the next time since we had so many young kids, but it's not far. The beds were very comfortable. We loved how the house was decorated! We hope to make it an annual tradition to come stay here!

The house is well kept and maintained. We had everything we needed. We loved no traffic being on the dead end road. From the 4 year old to the 67 year old , rooms accommodated well. The community pool is small but very nice. Beach is a walk but very easy to get to. Tge train is close but didn’t bother us .

We absolutely loved this house. Eight adults and one child and we had plenty of room! Our favorite part was the basement, we played so many games of table top shuffleboard!
We booked it for 2024 before we even left the property.

This house is absolutely perfect for a girlfriends getaway! The bedroom arrangements offers so many great varieties for sleeping that everyone was very comfortable. The house is decorated so nicely and you feel right at home. In fact, many of the girls kept saying how they would love to live in the house! The host is very prompt at responding to messages. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!

A group of friends and I have traveled up to New Buffalo for the past 3 years for a holiday trip, and this year was the best stay we've had yet. This place is really conveniently located for town access, beach access, and overall feeling a part of the community.
The house has really nice space as well, and the bedrooms are excellent! The bunk room is not only convenient but the beds are actually really nice.
Summer or winter, large or small groups--I'd recommend anyone to stay here. Note the smoke detectors are a bit sensitive, but the hosts do a great job giving detailed welcome instructions.
Otherwise no complaints, would highly recommend, and look forward to making this another great stay in New Buffalo!

This house is situated on a quiet dead end road, but close enough to walk downtown. It is absolutely adorable, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Rachel was so helpful with pre-visit questions and inquiries. We loved our stay and will be back!

The location, house and pool were great! Just a short walk to the beach and very close to shops and dining. The house is decorated so cute only suggestion is to add some mirrors for getting ready. We had 11 ladies in this house and it was comfortable for all. Would stay here again.

Beautiful vacation house with lots of extras !
We thoroughly enjoyed this home. Location great and lots of fun things in the area to do. Our highlights were Warren Dunes, Mike’s Blueberry Farm, Galien River Marsh Boardwalk and Canopy walk, Oinks for ice cream, Villa Nova pizza, Beer Church. Barney’s is very close and a nice grocery store. Community pool very convenient and kept up well. New Buffalo beach convenient also !

Awesome Spot, Not all inclusive
We loved staying in this home - there was plenty of bedrooms and space for the family (kiddos + parents+ grandparents) reunion trip we hosted there. Beach chairs, toys, and games were provided as well as kitchen supplies, however we stayed for 9 days and there was 2 rolls of TP per bathroom and no shampoo/conditioner/body wash and no tissues in any rooms. Also no full length mirrors in the bedrooms or bathrooms. Porch had some wasps and cobwebs and is close to a pretty forested area on one side so bring bug spray for porch/back patio. Overall amazing time and loved the location, but this was first time i’ve stayed in a home where don’t provide any shower toiletries/limit toilet paper/no kleenex esp at this price. Still had great time. All new appliances and finishes, cute decor, and up to date with easy door locks with code for checkin. Rachel was great at getting back to me quickly and answering any questions and photos are super accurate!

Even Better Than Listed
Honestly, the pictures don't do this home justice. It was beautiful inside and out, and very clean. The location is ideal - walking distance to the beach, marina, and restaurants. Check-in was a breeze, and the "to-do" list for check-out was simple.
Kitchen is well stocked, and plenty of room for gatherings. The front porch swing is awesome - I spent several hours out there reading over the course of our stay. All in, I'd rent this property again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful Cottage
My daughter was married August 28th 2021 at Journeyman Distillery. We needed a place to stay for the immediate family. The pool was perfect for my grandchildren during the day of. Beach close for us to watch the Sunset after rehearsal dinner. Adequate parking. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed and more than I have ever seen at any other place I have stayed except for Kleenex. Thank you Rachael for your help with any questions we had prior to our stay and notification when the place was ready for us to check in. I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage.

Great house for a large group with minimal issues!
The house was extremely clean and nice when we came in. The fire alarm did go off when we tried to use the oven, which we were told only the day before. The grill was also super dirty when we tried to use it, so we were unable to use it. Besides that, no issues! The owner replied quickly and was super easy to communicate with!

This beautiful home is top-notch in EVERY respect: location, cleanliness, comfort, amenities, & owner communication. It was the perfect spot for our families with teens/almost-adult kids to reconnect and savor a week away! We especially loved the ample porch seating (and swing!) and fun basement hang-out space (the beverage cooler was appreciated!). The close walk-to-town location was enjoyed by all. Hope to be back again!
