Located in Bald Head Island, this charming house for $650 per night is a great option for your next break. Welcome to Primrose Cottage, a family-friendly and dog-friendly 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home in the Flora's Bluff area near South Bald Head Wynd at Bald Head Island. Located a short 3 minute walk to the beach, the home includes beautiful views and gentle breezes due to its elevation higher on a dune. What's unique about this home is the combination of views, proximity to the beach, and privacy. The maritime forest is directly behind the home adding to the secluded feel. This home comfortably sleeps 8 for the ideal beach vacation. In peak season, Primrose Cottage rents Sunday to Sunday. Check in time is 4:00 PM, check out time is 10:00 AM. HOME DETAILS: Walk through the gated and fenced area near the front door and you'll see an outdoor shower and wash station to help keep the sand out of the house. We even include dog shampoo if you need to give your 4-legged friend a bath. As you enter the home on the first floor you step into the kitchen with a powder room and laundry area to your left. Adjacent to the kitchen and prior to the living area is a dining table that seats 6. The kitchen was fully remodeled in 2023 and features an island with seating for 4, a gas cooktop, wall oven and microwave, a combination coffee maker and Keurig machine, ample supply of spices and oils and a full set of pots and pans. Additional appliances included are: air fryer, blender, KitchenAid mixer, hand mixer, toaster, and hot air popcorn maker. Beyond the kitchen and dining table is the living area with seating for 9. The 60" TV includes YouTube TV for cable and live local channels. Smart TV features on all TV's include apps you can sign into using your own streaming account, such as Netflix, Apple TV, Hulu, Disney+, etc. There is also a gas fireplace (available seasonally only). Beyond the living room you'll find the front porch with comfortable seating for 7. Wrapping around the side of the house is a screened porch with outdoor dining table for 6, and an outdoor propane grill. Up the stairs to the second floor you'll find the primary bedroom at the front of the house and a second bedroom, each with a private bathroom. The primary features a spectacular view from the bedroom on a private deck which includes two comfortable chairs. The king size bed features a Casper mattress and ample supply of pillows and linens. Included in the primary bedroom is a desk overlooking the view of the ocean for those times when you have to catch up on work. The primary bathroom has double vanity sinks and a tub/shower combo. Opposite the primary is the second bedroom that is perfect for the kids or a small family. The room shares two bed units: a queen bed, along with a twin-over-full bunk bed. A small smart TV is located in this bedroom. A single vanity sink and tub/shower combo is in the private bathroom. A separate structure a few steps from the main house is where you will find the crofter, a private third bedroom over the golf cart garage. This bedroom has one queen bed, desk, Smart TV and full bath with a tub/shower combo. The garage holds two 4-seat golf carts, 5 adult bikes, 8 beach chairs, sand toys and a few boogie boards, along with a beach umbrella. PET POLICY: Dogs are allowed (maximum of 2) with permission. If interested in bringing your pets, please inquire first with us. A non-refundable $300 pet fee applies for any rentals where pets are included. GUEST CLUB MEMBERSHIPS: Shoals Club and BHI Club guest memberships are available separately, subject to limitations per club policies. Our BHI Club Membership allows use of pools and restaurants, but does NOT include use of golf, fitness center or tennis courts. Shoals Club guest membership allows access to all restaurants and amenities. Our family of four enjoyed a fantastic, long fall weekend at Primrose Cottage. It was everything we hoped it would be. Breathtaking morning views of the ocean from the master suite and unbelievable stars in the night sky from every window. A fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds and couches, and beach towels, toys, and bikes made everything perfect.

My brother and wife, myself and husband and mom stayed at Primrose Cottage for a family wedding at the Shoals Club. The cottage has everything you need! Nice linens and beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella! Golf carts work well and the kitchen update is really top notch. Love the paint colors and decor too. We had a wonderful time sitting on the front porch with extended family. We may have a family reunion on Bald Head and if we do I will definitely try to book Primrose Cottage.

Our family of 5 had a fabulous time at Primrose Cottage. The main floor (living area/dining room/kitchen) and bedrooms are all updated and clean. The open design on the main floor made it feel spacious. The view from the top deck was magnificent. Andy was very responsive anytime we had a question or request. We'd definitely return!

We had an excellent stay at 8 Primrose! The home is beautifully decorated and furnished to immediately make you glad you came when you step through the door. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything a cook needs for creating great meals. Beds are very comfortable with upgraded linens and the ample front porch furniture complete with porch swing makes for a perfectly relaxing morning or evening.
There are an abundance of beach toys as well as plenty of really nice bikes so you don't need to bring your own- a big plus now the the ferry will charge for extra luggage etc.
Two golf carts were great to have so that with two or more couples you can get anywhere together as well as go your own ways should your group have an overlapping agenda for the day.
Host Andy was extremely gracious and very responsive to any of our email questions and even quickly returned our Apple TV remote that we left behind.
Lastly, it was so nice not just to have a pet friendly place to stay but to have one in the caliber of this home- we were all very appreciative of this! All of this made our week at 8 Primrose way too short but we will definitely stay here again when we come back to BHI.

This property is everything that is described and more. Very comfortable furniture and well appointed kitchen. Bedrooms have plenty of room and master bedroom has a great balcony. Golf carts are in great shape and while we didn't use beach supplies they were all new and plentiful. Very organized. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent property to stay at Bald Head. This well stocked house is within walking distance to the beach, allows pets, comes with two golf carts, and more importantly, has a great view of the starry skies. We appreciate how the owners really thought about their guests which translated to a better vacation. Communication was clear and very quick. We highly recommend this home.

Would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a great place to vacation on Bald Head. Great location with easy walking access to the beach from house. House had everything we needed for our stay: kitchen was well stocked, 2 golf carts, multiple bikes, and everything you needed for the beach! Andy’s communication was top notch! Great stay for wedding on BHI
We rented this property with two other couples to attend a wedding. We came from the west coast so knew nothing about BHI, but we really enjoyed our stay. Andy was very communicative, and we appreciated his help and insight for a bunch of newbies to the island. Everyone enjoyed their stay and the house had everything we needed. Quick access to the beach with plenty of beach gear for the whole house. Plenty of space for everyone. We had other friends who stayed very close who came over for breakfast one morning, and there was plenty of room and supplies for all of us. It was a lovely weekend on BHI.

Well equipped and comfortable home in a very convenient location. Furniture was a bit worn and stained as was the upstairs carpeting but clean. Wood stairs were slippery so glad to find a baby gate we could use to keep our dog downstairs. Great view and I would recommend this home. The owner should consider upgrading some of the living room furniture though.

A perfect getaway!
Exceptional VRBO! The owners have thought of everything to make our stay as perfect as possible. Excellent internet service and TV selection. The house was clean, the master bedroom mattress was so great. We slept well. A fully equipped home that had the right amount of bikes, golf carts, beach gear, kitchen accessories, towels, beach towels, games, books, and so much more. We honestly could have just brought our clothes and toiletries and been done. It was like being in our own home. Very organized, fantastic views, also very private decks considering there are other houses close. The way this house is placed really gives a great feeling of being able to stay secluded if you want. The best part is that it is about 100 yards to the beach. The pictures online made me think it looked further away, but when we got there we were pleased how short the distance to the ocean really was. We fell in love with BHI, the islanders are friendly, the market was great, the spa was perfect. Coopers was an excellent find for a gourmet pizza. So fresh and delicious. Make sure to visit All About Art. It is off the beaten path, but has much more than art. The owner is thoughtful and gave us a ride since we got a flat tire on our golf cart. The whole experience was fantastic. You could not ask for a better VRBO and property owners. Thank you Andy for everything! We hope to come back again.

One of our best work at home/vacations from Bald Head!
Great location. Very easy check-in process and communication. I really appreciated the detail about the property and amenities before arrival. There are two decks (upstairs and downstairs) and a screened porch. Internet connection was excellent making the unavoidable Zoom calls worry free. Access to the beach was extremely easy, about 3 minutes away. On our last night here we strolled on the beach and witnessed the surreal beauty of SpaceX Inspiration 4 on an otherwise empty beach. Fantastic property on the island where we experienced some incredible memories.

Great Get Away!
We totally enjoyed our stay at Primrose Cottage. The house & its setting are very private. There's a wonderful view from the upstairs deck. We love the location in the Flora's Bluff area, especially the private access to South Beach just minutes away walking. The house was very comfortable & clean & had everything we needed for our visit. And the garage was a work of art with 2 excellent golf carts, lots of beach chairs & other beach amenities all in excellent condition. Loved the outdoor shower. Beaches amazing & great for swimming. Discovered yummy Nye's Ice Cream just outside the Maritime Market. We hadn't been to BHI in 20 years: delighted to discover it is still a special place to visit. We hope to return soon .

The home was perfect for our party of 8. 4 shared one comfortable room and the the main and crofter had 2 a piece. The kitchen dining area was great and wonderful porch space. The bikes a great. Andy has all the supplies you need and the kitchen was very well equipped! The golf carts are excellent and well maintained. The house does accept dogs but I did not notice any doggy wear and tear/smells.
The location is very quite up against the forest with nice ocean views and easy access to the beach. Overall one of our favorite homes and we have been coming for 20 years now. Hope to rent again from Andy!
