Beautifully decorated 3 bdrm/2.5 baths in prime location close to beach, shopping, market & dining. Owner's suite on first floor with ensuite bath, tile shower, dual sinks and two closets., Second floor has two bedrooms with jack and jill bath, each with private sink and tile tub/shower. Two 4 passenger golf carts, bicycles, and kayak. Spacious screened porch. Additional queen air bed will accommodate two additional guests. Temp club memberships to both Shoals Club and BHI Lifestyle Club membership are available for an additional fee. Kitchen is fully equipped with top of line large and small appliances as well as every culinary necessity you would need to prepare the most elaborate meal.

Loved our stay over Memorial Day. We were worried about the weather and Karen at BHI Turtle Time Vacations was super flexible and easy to work with, allowing us to check in early and beat the gusty winds and rain. This home is so charming and cozy. Perfectly decorated. The living area was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for anything you’d need to make a meal or a snack. The king bed in the downstairs master had a sea of soft down pillows and was like sleeping on a cloud. We also enjoyed the blue golf cart. With Bluetooth, backup camera, turn signals, and rain covers, it’s definitely one of the nicest ones we’ve encountered at a rental. This house was perfect!!

We had an amazing stay at Kathleen’s cottage! Upon arrival, the house was nice and cool, super clean, and stocked with most everything we needed. The back porch was an amazing addition to this wonderful home and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings relaxing and listening to the nature sounds. Loved the outdoor shower for getting sand off before entering the home. This was a nice feature! The beds were very comfortable and we loved all the extra linens and towels that were provided! The beach chairs were great and worked well for our many days at the beach. Kathleen was an amazing hostess and was super responsive when a few small issues came up during our stay. She was great! Wish the home came with a 6 person cart to accommodate the number of guests. Also, the bikes really need to be replaced or repaired. Outside of those two minor issues this house is fabulous and you won’t be disappointed! We will definitely rent this home again! Loved it!

This was a beautiful little cottage. Big enough for us each to have our own space two boys (8 & 6) and two adults. We were impressed with the comfort of the master bed - pillow top mattress and soft pillows (rare to find at a rental). Lastly, the ability to walk to the Maritime Market and coffee shop made the location super convenient. We would rent this place again!

We had a fantastic stay at Palm Cottage! The house is beautiful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-equipped and the large screened-in porch was heaven - we enjoyed all our meals out there, in addition to morning coffee and evening cocktails. Location is perfect - really close to the market/shops and a quick ride to the ferry or beach, plus we enjoyed the shade and the privacy that comes with the Maritime forest location. Kathleen was responsive when we had questions both before and during our trip. This is definitely my house when we come back to BHI.

We had a great week @ BHI. This was our third time staying at this property with our family. Kathleen has always been a good host and the home has worked well for our family. Unfortunately, the home had not been cleaned when we arrived, but Kathleen was quick to remedy the situation and offered to refund our cleaning fees. We are a family of six, and the home suits us well. It would be nice to upgrade the golf cart situation at this home, as they only offer one four person cart, so you need to rent another cart if you have more guests. Otherwise, a great rental.

Everything was great! House is as pictured and nicely decorated and equipped. Only negatives were having only one TV in the house and one golf cart. There is only one cart rental company on the island now so they have a monopoly (and no weekly rental rates)

Amazing property on Bald Head Island. Spacious bedrooms, great kitchen with all cookware included, private back patio and all the gear you need for grilling/beach/transportation in rear shed. The house has it all! Host was very responsive to all inquiries. We will be back to the house no questions asked!

We had a seamless trip in renting this property - great communication from the hosts including tips and recommendations for us as 1st time BHI visitors. The house was very clean, comfortable, and a great layout for our family of four. Easy access to all island amenities and beaches! What an amazing trip. This was a great vacation rental. The property was in good shape, the location was ideal for exploring the island, and it was big enough for our group. The screened in porch was particularly enjoyable. We had only a few issues with cleanliness. First, the dishwasher was full and dirty when we arrived. Second, there was barely any soap in the bathrooms and kitchen. Not only did we have to buy more soap for the house, but we also had to buy more paper towels and toilet paper just a few days in. Those are all items the cleaning fee should include, not something a vacation renter there for only a few days should have to tackle.

We had (3) generations staying here and we couldn't ask for a better week. The house was clean, well appointed, comfortable, and great location. The golf cart added to the excitement along with the front porch hanging swing & rocking chairs. The enclosed back porch is where we enjoyed our morning coffee and a couple of dinners. Our host, the owner, was extremely helpful and responded to our questions almost immediately. We highly recommend the Palm Cottage and you won't be disappointed.

Palm Cottage provided a very relaxing retreat for our family to experience BHI for the first time. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, relaxing living room furniture, and just very entertaining screened-in back porch. Location was quite convenient to the market and other main roads to BHI club and East and South beaches.
