Nestled in Iowa, this charming house for $340 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Golf Packages: New for 2024 - inquire for(e) more details! Looking for the perfect space for your family get-together or a getaway with friends? Look no further than The Gleneagle! With the capacity to comfortably sleep up to 10 guests (12 with the use of the sleeper sofa), this space boasts five large bedrooms each with King beds and an ensuite full bathroom (or directly adjacent full bathroom), as well as a sleeper sofa in the lower level. Inside the home, you will find Smart TVs in each bedroom and both living rooms (bring your logins), a wood-burning fireplace, a jacuzzi tub (master bath), ceiling fans in each bedroom, a large dining table for 10-12 people and additional seating at the breakfast bar. Downstairs you will find a pub table which is perfectly suitable for remote work/laptop-friendly workspace, a foosball table, and an arcade-style Pac-Man game! The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking basics, as well as a French door refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker, Keurig and regular coffee makers, dishwasher, double oven, microwave, and crockpot. New updates include all new KING size beds in all bedrooms -- Three (3) with Sealy Cocoon 12" Memory Foam mattresses and Two (2) with 12" Sealy Memory Foam mattresses with cooling technology! Rest easily at night on these super comfortable new beds. Bedroom 1: King Bed with ensuite bathroom & jacuzzi tub | Bedroom 2: King Bed (full bathroom with tub/shower located just outside bedroom door) | Bedroom 3: King Bed with ensuite bathroom (tub/shower) | Bedroom 4: King Bed with ensuite bathroom (tub/shower) | Bedroom 5: King Bed with ensuite bathroom (tub/shower) | Additional sleeping area: Sleeper sofa in lower-level living room Outside, you'll find four decks perfect for enjoying the beautiful Galena Territory. The front deck features a chair swing and rocking chairs, while the dining area deck offers a gas grill, dining table, chairs, and umbrella. The screened porch off of the kitchen is perfect for relaxing with a good book, and the lower deck boasts a pub table and hot tub. The driveway can accommodate up to 6 cars max. During your stay, you'll be provided six access cards to the Galena Territory Owners Club; these provide access to Shenandoah Riding Center, hiking trails, an indoor pool open year-round (lap swimming and open swimming), a splash pool, and an outdoor pool with slides (available seasonally), tennis courts, fitness center, and pickleball courts (outdoor available seasonally and indoor have scheduled times), and Lake Galena where you may rent a pontoon boat and troll around. If you need additional access cards, they are available for purchase for $5 per person/day (required only for those 5 years and up). Nearby, Eagle Ridge Resort offers four golf courses, a newly expanded Stonedrift spa, Highlands Restaurant, Woodlands Restaurant & Lounge, a golf simulator at The General Golf Course in the winter months, and a Nordic Center (sledding & ice skating) with a daily bonfire to warm up. Chestnut Mountain is also nearby and offers excellent Midwest skiing during the winter and warmer weather activities such as Alpine Slide, Screaming Eagle zipline ride, Frisbee Golf, and Mountain Biking. And don't forget to check out historic Downtown Galena, where you'll find plenty of great restaurants, unique shopping experiences, and kayaking down the Galena River. We do not have a COVID or weather cancellation policy, so we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance, which is available to purchase after booking. Please note that all COVID-19 related restrictions have been lifted for the Owners Club, except for a few amenities that still require reservations (lap swimming at the indoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and outdoor basketball courts, available seasonally). However, this is subject to change if the State of Illinois re-institutes restrictions related to the pandemic, and reservations cannot be guaranteed. There are no discounts or refunds if the Owner's Club amenities are not available.

We’ve rented this home three years in a row and it’s perfect for all the cousins to get together at. Brian has upgraded all the room furniture with king beds and added other nice features. In addition, lots of hiking and the owners club is great to go play at.

We had a great stay! The property was super clean and the beds were insanely comfortable!! We had an issue with the kitchen sink not draining and being clogged, the manager was super easy to get in contact with and worked with us to get it fixed. We would definitely stay here again!

5 couple 5 beds 5 baths. Just what we needed! Main table held us all for meals, games and socializing. Nice views and great location. The video game machine and foosball table is a nice touch, not to mention the hot tub on a cool evening. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay! My daughter-in-law loved the memory foam bed! The air conditioning was perfect for the hot weather. The hot tub was nice snd hot. The showers take a bit to get hot, but they do eventually. The 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms give everyone privacy.

Our large group (4 adults, 7 kids) had plenty of space - love that there are many bathrooms and the common space is also great. The outdoor porch swing, enclosed sun room, and bbq deck are also nice spaces for large groups! The food all table was a huge hit with the kids!! My one tiny suggestion is to get blinds on the upper window in the front bedroom - that sun comes in EARLY in the AM! We also had issues with temperature control - the upstairs was comfortable but the downstairs was absolutely freezing. We reached out to Bryan and his solution unfortunately didn’t help. The downstairs folks just bundled up and it was fine!

This house was great for our Mother/Daughter trip this year. The house was clean and well kept. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms too which made getting ready easy. One really nice thing was that the supplies like paper towels, toilet paper and such, were plentiful. Many times you have one roll of everything or one trash bag and then you have to bring some from home or go buy some, but not here. If we come back to Galena we will stay here again!

There are so many houses to choose from by Galena, but this one was absolutely GREAT! Seven gals, 5 bedrooms and 5 baths, we could all have our privacy (2 sisters and 2 cousins shared), and still be all together. Very clean house, and was furnished with everything we needed, loved the mattresses - very comfortable.
We left the house 1 day and went to town, it was Octoberfest in Galena. Too busy for us, and went to Elizabeth - fun town! But was glad to get back to the house and spend our time together, this is a very beautiful house.
Looking for a date to book here next year! Hated to see the weekend end, until next time - bye Galena!

there were 9 of us that stayed in this house. It is beautiful and just as described. House was clean, rooms were nice, beds comfy. It was ideal that we all had our own bathrooms. We utilized all the porches, hot tub and got into some good air hockey games. The location is close to Galena. We all enjoyed this home and Galena. The check in was smooth and Brian was always quick to reply. We will stay here again.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in the home in Galena! The home was very spacious, clean , well supplied and was perfect for our family enjoying time before school starts.The hot tub and foosball table were a big hit with the kids. All of us enjoyed the screen porch and the other patios-lots of room to spread out!! We fished, golfed and swam all in Galena territory!
Brian was very attentive and communication was very timely-we would highly recommend this home !!

We had a lovely stay at this property with my extended family. All the bedrooms are spacious with nice mattresses, added plus that most of them have en-suite bathrooms. The hot tub was clean, easy to access, and covered so we could use it during the rain we had over our stay. The screened-in porch was also really lovely during those rain storms with comfy outdoor furniture that could seat most of our group. The living room furniture was also new and comfortable too. We'd definitely rent this house again.

With 5 bedrooms, we had room for each couple then one bedroom for the girls and one for the boys. Bathrooms for everyone too! The porch was a favorite in the morning, the screened in room in the afternoon and the hot tub every night! The kitchen was a great size for cooking. I loved that we could all sit together at meal time around the 10 person table. It was great for our group!

Family Time!!!
My family spends a week each summer in the Galena Territory and The Gleneagle is our new favorite place to stay. Brian was a great host who was easy to communicate with and was quick to respond to our questions. The house itself was spotless and stocked with everything that we needed. All of the appliances and hot tub were in working order and we had no issues. The bedrooms are large, and each has a dedicated bathroom. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows, and each bedroom has its own TV. All common rooms had ample furniture to accommodate our group of 12 for conversation, games and watching the Home Run Derby. We enjoyed spending time on both the front porch and screened in porch, both were spacious and had plenty of seating. The kitchen is especially important to us as we cook all of our meals together. The refrigerator was big enough for all of our food, the double oven was great and most importantly the table was big enough for our entire group to share meals and play games. I highly recommend this property for your group. It is truly a 5 star rental.

Family Reunion
We’ve got a small family, but still needed a home to fit 12 people in. Plenty of room for each family, nice to getaway to each bedroom and plenty of room for the kids downstairs and the adults upstairs. Home was even bigger than what we anticipated in the pictures. Nothing quite like relaxing on the screened in porch in the summer. Will be seriously considering another trip to Galena just to all get under one roof again at the Gleneagle.

Lovely home, well situated, with great space for 10
The home looks small from the street but is surprisingly large on two levels once you are inside. We had essentially three groups and each could have their own room or groups of rooms. The back deck is lovely with a great outdoor grill and a lovely private view of the woods. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The dining room table comfortably sits 10 and the kitchen has everything you need. The owner is responsive and everything worked well. The neighborhood, Galena Territories, is lovely and within steps of the front door you have access to great hiking trails through the woods without having to drive anywhere.
One minor annoyance is the arched window in the master bedroom. The rectangular portion has blinds by the upper portion does not. Although it is a north facing window, when we were there at the end of June with sunrise at 5:30 and the sky getting light sometime after 4 am; it made the room way too bright for sleeping in till 7 or so. Unfortunately, the wall opposite the window has a large mirror so no matter which side you face the light hits you. Definitely bring you eye shades if this bothers you. By contrast, one of the downstairs bedrooms has no windows at all except through an adjoining bath. My daughter loved how dark it was.

This place was perfect for a short couples weekend in Galena. Nice and close to the golf course and short drive to downtown Galena. Very nice sized rooms and plenty of bathrooms for everyone to get ready for the day! 100% recommend checking this place out.
