About this house rental
Situated in Iowa, this charming house for $460 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Our Longwood home is 10 minutes to the GTA Owners Club (we provide proximity cards for free access) and 15 minutes to Downtown Galena. This home is NOT pet friendly. This spacious 3200 square foot 5 Bedroom 5.5 Bathroom home will accommodate up to 12 guests. The location is perfect as it is quick access to everything within the Galena Territory. 5 Minutes to Owners Club, 2 minutes to golf and 15 minutes to Downtown Galena. Our Longwood home features an awesome 7 person outdoor hot tub (open YEAR ROUND), pool table, table top Arcade Game, screened-in porch, stainless steel appliances, wood burning fireplace (we supply the firewood), screened porch, large deck and so much more. Four of the five bedrooms have an attached bathroom, and all are beautifully decorated. Our three-level home is laid out so your group can spread out and have your own spaces and then congregate in one of the two family rooms or in the kitchen that is open to the dining room. The main level has the living room, kitchen, dining room and King size bed in the primary bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom. Upstairs are two large bedrooms each featuring a Queen size bed and their own private full bathrooms. The lower level also has 2 additional bedrooms, one with a Queen size bed & a Queen size Serta sofa sleeper w/a private bath. The other bedroom has 2 Queen beds with a shared hallway bathroom. Please note that there are enough beds for 12 guests but extra space to spread out with the sofa sleeper. The exterior of this home offers tons of space for you to explore, take in the countryside from the deck, enjoy the outdoor hot tub on the patio and view the South golf course or enjoy your s'mores over our new fire pit. Loads of outdoor seating!! You are only minutes from Route 20 and even closer to the Country Store for all of your last minute needs. You will love this house and the space it offers to your group making your getaway relaxing and memorable! You will have access to the GTA Owners Club while staying with us. The indoor pool is open year-round and the outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The club is an exclusive amenity that can be used by only Galena Territory property owners and their guests. The Owners' Club includes an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool w/slides, a kiddie pool, fitness room, game room, indoor/outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, seasonal snack bar, free WiFi and outdoor playground. Don't forget to visit Lake Galena, The Shenandoah Riding Center and hiking trails throughout the 6,800-acre property. Please remember usage of the amenities is NEVER guaranteed. We do not discount or refund due their closure. Our cancellation policy is NOT flexible, we highly recommend travel insurance. Travel insurance is offered at the time of booking and up until 15 days prior to check in. The provider is CSA. When you book a home with us a 30% down payment is required to hold the reservation, this is not a deposit. The full balance is due 14 days prior to check in. If you cancel before the final payment is due you will be refunded the first payment less a $35 cancellation fee. At the 14-day mark your final payment will be processed, the stay will become non-refundable and dates cannot be adjusted. Please NOTE: You will be required to sign an electronic rental agreement at the time of booking, we ask this be signed and filed within 48 hours of receiving to guarantee your reservation. You must be 25 or older at the time of booking and present during the entire stay. Check-in details are sent 3 days before your arrival to the email on file. Early check-in is never guaranteed and cannot be considered until the night before or the morning of your arrival. The emailed check-in details will cover this process.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the house. We took a walk on the golf course path, enjoyed the shops in Galena and went to Mass at St. Mary’s. We had a great time. The house was clean and spacious - perfect for our group.

We had 9 active seniors 60 to 71 stay at the house for 5 days and we thought it was amazing! We enjoyed every bit of the property, as well as the Eagle Ridge Resort Marina (Pontoon Boat and Pickle Ball) and Pickle Ball courts at the Resort Lodge The beds were comfy (although the master mattress was showing signs of denting) Plenty of dishes, cookware and silverware...dishwasher was great! Plenty of hot water for showers and baths. Drove into Galena a number of times and the drive was only about 15 minutes. Each day we walked a mile around Longwood Drive and there were trails all around. We loved how private the house was within the neighborhood...and the stars at night were magnificent!

Great house, lots of room for all! We did do a couple meals there. For a house holding so many guests I wish there were larger pots and pans. It was annoying to cook for so many with what was there. That is my only complaint. Otherwise was very clean and again loved all the room! I would definitely stay again.

The house worked great for our family. Loved the outdoor space with the hot tub, fire pit, deck and large lawn for playing games. We took advantage of the outdoor pool at the owner’s club, which was perfect for a hot weekend with the kids. Overall great location for our family.

Loved the big yard and the extended driveway. It gave the Grandkids plenty of room to play without us having to worry about anything. Rooms were nice and spacious as well. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

The layout was perfect for 3 families with 4 children ages 2-6. There was enough seating for the 10 of us on the deck. The children enjoyed the pool and big yard. S'mores was a hit with the firewood that was supplied. There was plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles.
The exterior was in the stage of remodeling and the outside landscape needed some TLC, but this was no hinderance to the children playing outside. Also, be aware that there is an extra cleaning fee if you stay 5 nights or longer.
Overall, the house worked great for us.

Family retreat of 10 with enough bathroom space and bedrooms for all, the hot tub was great. 5 kids loved pool table and arcade games and adults too. The house was inviting, clean, spacious with glass windows and even skylight in bathrooms. We all loved the fire pit and plentiful wood pile to roast s’mores. The second story screened porch was a nature lovers dream to sit and listen to all the wonderful songbirds. Living space was very adequate and allowed room for various needs and activities. Beds were quality mattresses and bedding for sleeping. Linda, Galena homes manager was immediately available to answer any problems. She provided a new 4 digit code to enter house upon our arrival. The code that was previously given was incorrect. She answered questions we had that took care of any minor concerns. Only thing lacking was matches or a lighter to start a fire plus paper or kindling wood which we were able to get ourselves at a local store and sticks from woods behind house. No problems or complaints overall and we all would come back here again

The property was perfect for our large group. It’s in a great location too. It’s convenient to go into town and feels like you have lots of privacy at the house. There are golf courses everywhere and we took advantage of going to the owner’s club and swimming, playing basketball, and using the fitness center. Everyone had their own bathroom and there are places to eat on the deck and inside. The hot tub was also an appreciated perk. Overall, it was a great experience.

The yard was large enough for us to play cornhole and set up badmitten. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, arcade game, fires and playing game sun the screened in!! We had 8 adults and 3 children ages 2,5, & 7. There was plenty of space for all to gather and to separate when desired. There is a lot of out door space for running around and we didn't need to be concerned about disturbing neighbors. The exterior needed some care, but it looked like they were starting on that project. The whole family had fun at the Owner's club swimming pool.

The house was large enough to adequately accommodate our family of 10. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor spaces, along with the hot tub and fire pit. Our family also enjoyed the Owner's Club, using the fitness center, basketball courts and the pool. Although the kitchen space was a little small (counter space) to manage all the food for meals and snacks, we made it work. Basement bedrooms were cold with the AC running, so we turned it off and used extra blankets, as the weather was so lovely daytime and cooled off at night.

This property was perfect for 12 ladies celebrating my daughter’s bachelorette weekend. Plenty of beds and bathrooms! We cooked a large meal for one night and the kitchen was more than equipped to cook and serve a formal dinner. The weather was less than ideal, so we were unable to use the fire pit and hot tub,, but will definitely be back. It was a great experience, from reservation to check-out. It was awesome!

This home worked ok for our annual skiing trip since we had five couples and five bedrooms with separated bathrooms. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the home and the amount of linens/towels provided. Mattresses and pillows were of good quality. Except downstairs Queen size Serta sofa sleeper which mattress was terribly misshapen and couldn't be used. House has very spacious bedrooms, however the main living room doesn't have enough space for the larger group congregation (only 6 people can fit freely on 2 couches). Fireplace worked nicely. Kitchen had lots of cooking utensils, however it lacked some important dishes (had only only 7 coffee mugs and 10 forks which weren't sufficient for the 12 of us). Dining room included only 9 chairs. There was some wear and tear evident in some places, especially the dining room area. . Hot tub was clean, however it wasn't properly filled up prior to our arrival-water lever was way below jets and water was spraying all over us. There was no connecting water hose to fill up the tub.

We had such a great time this last weekend! I treated my kids for an adults only weekend. The property was so spacious and had everything right there. We were snowed in for the weekend, so that only added to the ambiance! We had the fireplace going much of the time and played games much of the weekend. The hot tub was especially a hit!!

Great house for our girls weekend! Nice layout which allowed people to be able to spread out & have space & privacy if needed. It also allowed plenty of space for 12 people to sleep & multiple vehicles too! The house as clean & ready to go. Unfortunately we did not get to use the hot tub due to a leak but the property manager was more than accommodating & understanding. She responded quickly & kept us updated. They sent someone out on 2 separate days over a weekend & on a holiday weekend too & tried their best to try to fix the leak. They didn’t make us feel like we did something wrong or that it was “too late” to report an issue. We would 100% stay at this house again in the future!
