Great location. Friendly staff.

The staff is really friendly. They were available at early hours at the desk and were able to accommodate our requests. The space is warm and inviting. They have a pool table and a movie night running when we stayed there.

There were roaches in the kitchen. Didn't want to use the appliances and dishes because the roaches were everywhere.

Got there late late in the day and was shown in to park in a safe space.

No breakfast.

Kitchen stove was filthy, though the rest of the place was very clean.

Super Hostel mit guter Anbindung. Tolles Personal, gute Möglichkeiten für Privatsphäre.

Eines der zwei Betten wirkte nicht blitzsauber, was für uns kein Problem war, da wir auf das andere Bett ausweichen konnten.

This is not only an hostel but a unique experience.

Everything was clean, organized and with taste. Is so immersive, you are in direct contact with the nature, you wake up surrounded by trees, parrots, lovely dogs and nice and chill people. It was nicer than what we where expecting. They also offer many tours that we didn’t have time to enjoy but they look like they are worth it.

Atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed. For a person with an ecological and a bit rebellious character this place is the right one.

The staff made the stay even better

Lets start by the room. I stayed in a double room with a bathroom and for the price it was very good. The hostel has a pool table and ping pong plus a large array of books you can read. They also have a nice dog that likes to play around and is pretty chill. Now to the best part, the staff. The staff was so nice and helpful. From the owner to the receptionist to the cleaning lady, everybody was amazing and actually made me feel at welcomed and at home, except for the small girl at the reception which you can't really talk to cause she doesn't talk loud enough and she also doesn't know how to smile, I guess with time she will get better at it. Anyway Ernesto, Maria and Gaston were amazing.

I will come back to work on my billiard game.

Really nice place. Outdoor seating is good, and the billiard table is great. Wifi everywhere. Comfortable bathrooms and hot water. Kitchen is good, if you want to cook for yourself this is a good hostel. Morning coffee is a nice touch. The staff is nice.

Hostel is next to a very loud road. Sometimes extremely loud. But the hostel is great. I would stay here again. You should consider putting an electric kettle in the kitchen.

Staff were friendly, approachable, and more than helpful. My private room was very spacious and had a nice set of shelves to place things on or hang. Lovely shared spaces and a great atmosphere to the place. I highly recommend.

It’s a 40 min walk to the city & if they have a power cut good luck

Very good

Room was spacious compared to others we stayed in around the country. The hostel has a games area with table tennis and billiard, free to use. It was fun to use.

Showers were only with cold water.

Awesome German and Austrian volunteers, terrible trouble-making disgusting manager ❤💜🇦🇹🇩🇪

Everything is clean, everyone but the Costa Rican manager is extremely friendly, the place is located in a good area and the German and Austrian volunteers are the best

Mean unorganized Costa Rican manager who did her best to keep me up at night As she is the only bad thing this place had, I have quite mixed feelings about how to review this place because she didn't let me sleep when I made it clear to her I had been robbed and I ended up in a hospital. However, I decided to leave only one bad review and other ones good as I had bad experience on the day I was received by that distasteful lady.

On budget stay it is ok.

Helpful and friendly staff. Pool table tennis table in the lobby very cute doggy living there too. Shower was ok warm water even though some previous reviews said it was cold.

Some staff speaks no word english but acting like he understood what I say. I nearly missed my 170 $ tour because he said car is waiting downstairs and put me in the taxi, which belonged to my roomate who had to go to the airport. Taxi driver of course 0 english too even though I showed my tour ticket he drove me off “to the bus bus terminal where he thought I have to take a bus myself to that city” Also walk to the city center is like 30 min. And my first room was on the noisy street I changed to more quite but sleeping on a bunk bed above was not that comfortable but better this than cars on the street.

Clean and huge place.

Place run by volunteers, most don't speak Spanish or know much about the area. You need to pay so they keep your luggage after check out.
