Check in was easy and the staff were friendly! I like that they had breakfast restaurant in the hotel, and the location was central!
When I was checking out on the 5th, the staff member was not that friendly, he seemed a bit off.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, in fact, every time I have been in Nanaimo in the last 2 years. It is in a good location, it is a good overall facility and while this experience was very different, historically the staff have been fantastic.
Where do I even start. I tried to add a second night stay but was told that even though rooms were available, because I used a 3rd party to book the first night they would not give me 2 nights in the same room. This meant I would need to pack everything in the morning, and pack it around all day. While that might be their policy, a hotel unwilling to meets clients needs, when the rooms are available, does not deserve my business. But the biggest issue happened later. I spilled coffee on the floor so I wiped it up. The floor was absolutely BLACK. It was disgusting. While inconvenience is one thing, there is a lot of trust placed on hotels that cleanliness is PRIMARY. the floor in that room has likely never been more than swept. It is so gross and unacceptable.
