Got upgraded to a king room, which was great, thank you. Nice bed, large desk and quality coffee machine.
Location wasn't nice and although walkable to downtown, didn't feel very safe. Same for the property itself with a loose door lock and safety latch.
Not the hotel's fault but I had very loud neighbours who kept me up until 1:30 am.

Room was clean and evrything was at proper place. Coffee maker and Microwave are properlly sanitized and cleaned. Washroom was provided with all aminoties like clean towels and soaps and shampoo to bath.
I didn't like the quiet room and clean room. I didn't like that the motel is at the center of the city and close to restaurants fruits shop or McDonald's.

Our room was clean & warm. We slept well on a comfortable bed. The shower was spacious & the sink and toilet were clean.
Everything was in good working order!

Room was generally in need of an update but the bed was comfortable; However, we were placed on the ground floor in the back, not good lighting back there and didn't feel too safe. Nanaimo has a homeless population. Perhaps the manager felt we would enjoy being away from the main road.
This was our second stay. First stay, several years ago our car was broken into in the front parking lot. Decided to try it again, see if things had changed.
We saw no one roaming the parking lot or back area, but still did not like the room's location given the back area with inadequate lighting. If my wife had been there by herself, I would have worried. Perhaps we should have asked for another room that didn't have a dark area getting to it. Manager very nice. Rather sorry to write this review, but did not feel comfortable (safe). We won't stay again.
Did not feel safe walking around the back of the building to our room in the dim lighting.
