Nestled in West Pennington, this attractive house for $324 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to our home away from home, The Markque. This beautiful, homey cabin, located in picturesque Hill City, South Dakota, is sure to be just what you are looking for, from the open floor plan to its convenient location right in the middle of all things Black Hills! Enjoy your morning coffee on the front patio while watching the visiting wildlife, including deer nearly every day. Hike, bike, or run on the Mickelson Trail and relax in the evenings on our patio, in the hot tub, watching the sun set. There is a herd of Elk that have been known to visit within one block! If you're in the area for adventure, this cabin is right by Deerfield Road, which will take you to miles and miles of Forest Service roads, ATV/UTV/snowmobile specific trails, Deerfield Lake for fishing, and hiking in the Black Hills National Forest. Unwinding at the Markque is easy with a whole home stereo system with blue tooth access. In 2021, we added to the kitchen a brand new fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. Many items have also been replaced in 2021 including living room furniture, gas grill, towels, bed sheets, pillows, dishes, pots and pans, and griddle. We've added a Keurig, an Instant Pot, a waffle maker and a brand new Pit Boss smoker on the patio (we provide the pellets)! The hot tub is brand new in June 2023. This is the perfect home for your vacation! Located in a beautiful tree surrounded neighborhood with views of the national forest and access to the Mickelson Trail with ZERO GRAVEL to the home. We feature special winter, spring and fall rates! You can also find us on Facebook - @TheMarkque - we look forward to your stay with us. Please note: our parking availability is as follows - there is no off-street parking in this neighborhood. All cars, trucks, trailers and ATV's need to be parked in the garage or driveway. No RV's or campers are allowed to be parked in this neighborhood at any time. There is a total of 5 parking spaces for our home (one in the garage and four in front of the garage). ATV/UTV’s should never be driven across or parked on the lawn. No washing vehicles of any kind on the property.

Nice place to visit in the middle of the Black Hills action. Hot tub is great and we enjoyed parking our vehicles inside. Cabin met all of our expectations and was well supplied.

Group of 6 long time friends from MN who had a relaxing and enjoyable time at The Markque for a few nights. Comfortable accommodations in a peaceful neighborhood. Enjoyed hot tub morning and night, daily visits from deer and close to everything. Host was quick with responses and helpful. Can't go wrong at The Markque, just needed a few more days.

We biked the entire Mickelson trail over the course of 2 days. The house was just off the trail and was a nice half way point. The hot tub was great to use after a full day of biking. The house is away from the busy part of Hill City but close enough that all activities can be easily accessed.

Stayed here with adult siblings and father. The property is well cared for and property manager was very communicative. We appreciated being near a trail and seeing all the wildlife in the area. The kitchen provides a great array of cooking utensils for everything you need.

Our stay was fabulous! The home was so well maintained and furnished. I cannot think of one thing we needed that wasn’t there for our use. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet!. I highly recommend this VRBO😊

This house was centrally located and scenery picturesque. Walking path on the Mickelson trail goes into Hill City, easily walked day or night. House was nice and clean. Walking and riding trails all nearby was a bonus for our trip!

We loved the property and the home. It was great for two families and was very well taken care of. The neighborhood is great with a pond across the street from the house and daily views of geese, deer, etc. We would definitely rent this place again.

This has been our second time at The Markque. It is such a friendly neighborhood and a great location to anything you want to do. Melissa was so quick to answer any questions we had. She even checked in on us during our stay. There are so many amenities that it makes it feel more like home than a rental property. We will be back!

This house was awesome !! Clean, great communication with me, quick to respond. Had a smoker, grill, hot tub, comfy beds, full access to use garage. Most in neighborhood were super friendly, had enough room to park 36’ trailer and 2 pickups in driveway, with Utv’s in garage. Close access to trail heads for Utv’s. Also close to town do you can enjoy all parts of Hill city.

The house worked well for our four adults and four kids (8-3 yrs old). Quiet and clean property. We made use of the smoker, grill, and jacuzzi. We appreciated having the light switches labeled.

The house was lovely. It was immaculately clean and decorated with many thoughtful touches. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, pans, and cutlery for meal preparations. It's definitely a good value.

Nice place to stay. Good central Black Hills location. We enjoyed it very much. Some negatives...we are all senior citizens. There was no safe way to get into and out of hot tub. Night lights either didn't work or were very dim. Upstairs TV was not a smart TV. Smaller bed in double room upstairs was not comfortable. Comfort height toilet with grab bar would be nice.

Everything was great!! Beautiful home inside and out. All that you need was provided. Check in was very easy with video directions on how some basic things work which was much appreciated. Very family friendly! We spent a day at Sylvan Lake and were even able to use yard chairs that were available to take. A perfect distance from downtown Hill City in a great neighborhood. We would stay at The Markque again in a heartbeat!! Thank you!!

We stayed here for our family vacation. Our children are 8, 6, 4, and 2. They had everything we needed to settle in quickly. This property is in a clean, quiet neighborhood located close to all the fun attractions in Black Hills. We enjoyed the special things this home has to offer; hot tub, sound system throughout the home, indoor and outdoor games and open concept. It was clean and cozy. I'd highly recommend.

Everything was clean and gorgeous, from the home to the view outside! Everything we needed was available plus some! Very quiet neighborhood, we didn’t even see other people that much; felt like we were in the country! Location close to many tourist things and also great home grown coffee at the local market! The hot tub was always a great wind down for the night! Also very family oriented amenities! So much more I could say but, for my first Vrbo; it set a very high standard and I can’t wait to stay again! Thank you, Melissa!

We usually stay in hotels on vacation but this time we decided to do something different. I set up this property but didn’t tell my other family members so I was nervous to see if they were going to like it or not but they loved it . Host was great and the property was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
