About this bed and breakfast
Modern, stylish and efficient 'Carriage House' home with its own private front courtyard and hot tub. This home is equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer and large screen TV making it comfortable for long stays or short vacations. Parking is either free on the street or guests may use a private off street spot behind the carriage house. The owners live in the main house in front and there is no shared space. What to expect when booking: We are an "integrated partner" with VRBO/Expedia/HomeAway. Your credit card will show the rent/tax/cleaning portion of your charges under our company name because Integrated Partners are required to be the Merchant Of Record per VRBO terms of service. Only your "service fee" charged by VRBO will show on your credit card statement as a charge from that company and rest shows separately as a charge from our local Savannah GA company. Please be sure anyone who oversees your credit card statement is aware of this to avoid any confusion. If you book on VRBO you will have already agreed to our basic rules and terms (no smoking, no pets, capacity limit, check in/out times, refund policy etc) on the VRBO checkout page. Good base for exploring Savannah or Hilton Head. Carriage House is cute and well appointed. If only there was a larger, more comfortable bed. Hot tub was great.

Perfect spot right in the middle of everything. The amenities such as jacuzzi and Bluetooth light in bathrooms was lush. Made you think i didnt know i needed these things in life. But made my stay essential when arriving back. DONT RUN JUST STAY!! You wont regret it.

The house was exactly as described and it was perfect! The only issue i had was that there were wet towels in the washer and the dryer I have ocd so I did the laundry. Other than that everything was clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and the property manager answered the one question we had very quickly. We will definitely stay here again as Savannah is my happy place.

My husband, son, and I stayed here for a last minute weekend trip before the Fourth of July. A friend came and stayed one night as well. It was comfortable and had plenty of space for us. The beds were comfortable and overall the house was clean. The shower pressure was really low but we managed. The management company was very responsive. Parking was easy and the house is pretty close to everything.

Contrary to what I read in some other reviews, I didn’t perceive this rental to be in a “rough” or “bad section” of Savannah, although it was slightly removed from the more bustling historic district. It was close enough to easily walk or über to nearby destinations throughout our stay. Access to the property when we arrived was straightforward and easy.
This property was not what I think most people envision when they think of a “carriage house”. I can understand why some reviewers referred to it as a renovated garage of sorts. But it’s really more like a small modern apartment. We were traveling with 3 people (myself, my husband, and our son), and this space suited us perfectly. It has two bedrooms, was clean, and came stocked with all the basic necessities such as starter paper towels, toilet paper, soap, trash bags, etc.
If you stay here we highly recommend going to Foxy Loxys for breakfast. It’s just a few minutes walk from the rental and they had amazing coffees and a nice selection of pastries. The courtyard area is a nice spot to sit and enjoy your breakfast. We also enjoyed a trolley tour of Savannah during our stay, which is a nice way to get an overview of the city’s rich history, and we had really good fare everywhere we dined. There’s no shortage of great restaurants to eat at.

Everything is around this place; you won’t drive more than 10 minutes. It was also very homey and super clean. Loved that there was a binder with every possible need documented.

Property was clean and in a great location for all the things we wanted to do and see. Easy driving distance to many restaurants and activities. Was easy for us to walk to get breakfast each day as well. Would definitely recommend.

House was much smaller than expected, especially considering the price. It was pretty obvious that by “Carriage House” they mean, renovated garage. That being said it was very new and clean inside. The only thing that could have been cleaner was the spa area and spa itself. There were acorns everywhere on the patio and around the spa. Going to take a dip reminded me of the scene from Home Alone when Harry climbs through the window and steps on the glass ornaments in his bare feet.
The beds were really soft, which some people like…unfortunately we are not those people. The low flow shower sucks. People, you are not saving water when you provide 1/3 the water but the shower takes 3 times longer to get the soap off!
The most shocking part of our stay was the neighborhood. We had never been to Savanna before so we did not know that the house was in a run-down, super shady part of town. When we arrived, we pulled up in an alley where we were greeted by an unleashed pit bull. There were two people further down the alley sitting in lawn chairs but they did not seem to care about their dog. There were also several condemned houses nearby and the area seemed like a great place to get mugged or buy illegal drugs. We did not feel safe.
Overall the property was decent inside but because the neighborhood was so sketchy I would not give this more than 3 stars. Also, the price was way too high for what you get. We were pretty disappointed because we have paid less for more.

The rental was exactly what we needed for our time in Savannah! Located in the perfect spot for exploring. The rental was clean and very home-like! Would recommend and stay here again!

We love Savannah and visit a couple times a year!
This was a very nice and clean place, located on the owner’s property behind their house. It had everything we needed for the weekend, including kitchenware, which we used for making our own meals.
A couple of things to point out though:
1) This is not a place meant for families who have young children, as this area is not necessarily safe. We had a couple run-ins with people behind the building that were doing drugs and spray painting the street sign…..
2) This is also a flood area. The last morning we were here, it rained for an hour or two. Nothing serious. When we walked outside to our car, the entire street was completely flooded with vehicles half submerged. Thankfully with the back parking space available our car was fine. Just be mindful if you are parking on the street and are expecting rain.
3) Upon our arrival the entire place had an overwhelming smell of weed. We tried getting rid of it the entire weekend but we were still unsuccessful.
4) The bikes needed some repairs. We actually spent our own time and money fixing one of the bikes so we could use them.
Overall, it was a good stay! However, as a group, we all agreed it was overpriced for both location and size.

If you are looking for an amazing private space, you won't find a better place. Host was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. This space is clean and beautifully decorated with an awesome jacuzzi. This location is close to all city attractions and in a quiet neighborhood. We will be looking to reserve this location many more times.

Little things make the difference
Great stay!! The added touches really made a difference for me. Bikes were available that we rode. Hot tub is always a plus. The ability to sync your phone to the speaker in the bathroom was awesome. The beds and bedding were 5 star. The Kerig and coffee were a nice touch.

Mary’s place was exceptional! It was extremely clean, modern, and welcoming! It literally has everything you need and is near downtown! Hot tub was wonderful and beds were very comfy (I slept like a rock). Amazing restaurants and sights nearby. When we return to Savannah, this is absolutely where we’ll stay! Amazing value especially for the cost!

The location was about 10-15 minutes outside of the downtown area, but we had no problems with walking or taking an Uber to get where we needed to go. We appreciated the quiet area to retreat to after a long day of seeing the sights

Great getaway!
Beautiful and charming guest house! Located in a nice quiet neighborhood! Too far to walk to downtown, so I'm glad we had bikes to use. Sadly, the hot tub wasn't working. My one request would be to hang the closet clothes rods lower or to add a shorter one. I'm 5 feet tall and could not reach the rods at 6 1/2 feet. A trivial thing, though:)

Cute little private place!
Very clean and easy to keep that way. The location was easy to find and the parking was ideal. We came and went with no issues. The hottub did not get very warm, but we enjoyed relaxing one evening. The beds were super comfy.

Very pleased with the decor and how mice and clean it was. Love the small house oasis in Savannah. However area was near low income and questionable folks. Didn't feel safe to do my morning neighborhood walks but felt safe in carriage house and the courtyard. Love the bikes and hot tub. Good distance to the main Savannah tourist areas. Negative was no dressers for clothes, no step stool for tall kitchen cabinets and late night loud music playing cars passing by. Overall, great experience would do it again.
