Amazing value for money!
We loved all about the hotel: the location -amazing-, close to the Nice Train station, the beach and rue Jean Medecin -nice street for walking and shopping with good restaurants and coffee shops.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and they were also helpful whenever needed. The hotel and the room was clean always. The water pressure in the shower was very good. Bathroom space was ok. The bed and the pillow were comfortable for a good night sleep.
There are a few stairs that lead to the elevator. The elevator/lift is ok in terms of space and speed (3 people with 2 big pieces of luggage and 2 carry ons). Around 10.30-11.00am, the one available elevater gets so busy -checkout time-.
It’s close to the Beau Rivage beach (public + private club), 15 min walk from Place Massena. One of Nice nicest spots for swimming. Remember that the beach in Nice is a pebbles beach, your sea shoes will help a lot.
We didn’t try the breakfast so we cannot judge.
A tea/coffee station in the room would have been highly appreciated.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it incredibly easy to explore everything Nice has to offer. I was travelling solo for my birthday and found it to be the perfect base for my trip, with great transport links to places like Èze, Monaco and Antibes.
The room was clean and comfortable, and it had everything I needed for my stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with any questions I had. I really appreciated the warm atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Overall, Hotel Gothard offered good value for money, and its central location made my holiday even more enjoyable. Thank you for helping make my birthday trip to the French Riviera such a memorable one!
The décor is a little dated in places, but it was well-maintained and clean, and it did not take away from the overall comfort or enjoyment of my stay.

The room was nice and clean and updated. They even had beach umbrellas we could borrow for the day.
We did not like the reception staff who was rarely at the desk. We were not told that there was a breakfast room nor that there was a refrigerator and a freezer for customers to use until our last day there. That would’ve been nice for my medication. The last day we asked if somebody would be at reception at four in the morning as we had an early flight. We were told that there would be, but when we got down there, there was some man asleep on the couch who did not hear our loud noises or voices and was passed out asleep snoring. Our Uber showed up and we could not get out the front door as it was locked. Fortunately, we found a side door we were able to get out so we did not miss our flight. Customer service at the reception desk was terrible and very unprofessional.
