This is a backsplit viceroy cabin with massive west facing patio doors overlooking Wagner Lake. LAKERIDGE and DAGMAR ski resorts are just 20mins south. When the lake freezes, it is a blast to walk the lake in the crisp winter air. This is truly a place to enjoy year round! A floating dock lakeside offers a place to kick back and enjoy the stunning sunsets, to launch the canoe or kayaks for a lake tour, or to go for a dip in the lake. Cedar Cabin runs on geo-thermal, which utilizes the energy of the Earth to efficiently cool the house in the summer and heat it in the winter, helping to reduce our ecological footprint. My wife and I stayed at the Cedar Cabin and had a marvelous time. Brian was responsive and attentive to detail. The hot tub was spacious and relaxing and the lake was calm and perfect for using the kayaks that were available. We enjoyed the campfire pit on the lake and watching sunsets from the dock. On rainy days we played Wii on the Apple TV in the main room. Everything we needed for meals was available and the cottage itself was clean.

What a great stay. Brian is a fantastic host who is prompt in his replies. The house was very clean and welcoming. The kids have ample of room to play inside and especially outside. The dock and deck are great places to unwind with your coffee or beer. We highly recommend you book a stay at cedar cabin.
On a side note, Brian came to check in on our stay, and he couldn’t have arrived at a better time as our jetski had broken down. Brian was so helpful that he fixed it up for us for free! We couldn’t have done it without him and it would have been a big loss for our vacation, thankfully Brian saved the day. Our hero.

What a great relaxing week we had at this cabin. There's a fantastic floating dock (where I spent most of my time!), since we made the bookinf they've added a hot tub which was a wonderful surprise! When the weather wasn't cooperating there is plenty to do in the spacious inside. Smart tv, Wii console, board games... A stocked kitchen (we cooked in the cabin most days!) a grill out back as well. When we finally got cabin fever, we headed to Toronto for a day trip. Communication & check in was on point. Book it!

We booked this after our wedding as a little time to get away to be alone. We loved how quiet and private the location was. We enjoyed sitting on the deck seeing the lake, and also sitting on the dock for an even better view. Tons of room for games in the lawn and even indoors. Brian was super quick to respond to any questions we may have had. The weather wasn’t the best when we were there (no one can control that) so we would definitely like to go back and fish more and use the canoe and kayaks that are available! Great price for the size and amenities you receive here.

We’ve rented Brian’s cabin for two long-term stays. We love it! Brian is an incredibly responsive and kind host who made sure everything was set up for our stays to be magical. The cabin has everything a family would need and is comfortable as can be. The property is in amazing shape, the house is as quiet as can be, and the tech (TVs, wifi, etc) all work perfectly. My family and I spent our Christman at this lovely cottage on the lake. The experience was exactly what we were looking for. The location couldn't be more perfect. It is a cottage in the middle of nature close enough to the GTA that we were able to visit with family during the holidays. Uxbridge was just a few minutes away if we were missing anything.
The cabin was well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. The 2 fireplaces created a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Our host Brian was the perfect host. We had such a great time and we’ll be back.

The property was just as advertised, extremely clean and tidy with modern kitchen appliances and a comfortable couch in the living space! We loved the large yard, beautiful view of the lake from the deck and large living room windows, easy access to the water, and how quiet it was. We will definitely be back!

The Cedar Cabin was extremely clean and well organized with all the amenities needed for a great holiday.

The first thing that that we noticed about the overall property was the size and the privacy. Coming from the city the overall quietness and the wonderful view from the deck to the lake was stunning. The cottage was well equipped with supplies and everything that one needs....plus more. Our 1 year old dog loved the size of the lot and the access to the lake where she learnt how to swim (although a bit weedy). There is a beautiful deck which we enjoyed sitting on; but it would be great to have a table to dine on too. We had great fun on the paddle boards and the canoe plus there was a huge fire pit for the evening. The overall experience was great and we enjoyed ourselves. If we had one area of improvement to provide it would be the beds. Although somewhat comfortable, because of the foam padding added to them (my husband tosses and turns) making it difficult for me to sleep because they were squeaky and soft. Our host Brian was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with throughout or experience. Communication was excellent. In conclusion, a great time was had by all!

10 Year Anniversary Getaway
We came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and had a great time. We brought our new rescue dog, and we'll always cherish the memories of watching her learn to swim and ride with us in the canoe. The gentle slope into the water made it go so smoothly. The little dock was great for sunbathing and enjoying sunsets. We had some thundershowers during our stay, but still had laughs competing on the Wii games. We're looking forward to returning!

Property was exactly as described. House was perfect size for a family of 3 or 4. We spent our week relaxing by the indoor and outdoor fires.

We had a great week at Brian’s place!
We had a great stay at this lovely cottage. It was a great fit for our 11 and 13 year olds with the foozball table, Wii video games and dart board. Of course we all enjoyed swimming, canoeing and fishing too.
Cottage was clean and well kept. The owner Brian was very responsive and friendly.
I would recommend this to a couple or a family of 4 for a relaxing vacation!

Pefect cozy retreat
Such a great escape from the hassles of pandemic-era Toronto.
Great TV/rec room downstairs, great deck with BBQ used almost every day, amazing floating dock and lake where we spent most of our month. Our cats, Biscuits and Momo, loved seeing the endless array of woodland visitors around the house. Would definitely return.

It was exactly what we needed! The only downside was red ants around all of the wood by the water but the owner was courteous in NOT treating prior to our arrival because we were bringing our dog so we were not mad at all, just didn’t sit by the fire.
My only suggestion would be to add a mattress pad option because for me and my partner the bed was a bit stiff, but instead of an expensive mattress a foam pad would have made a big difference.
Brian is a super friendly host and the cottage is perfect, we would stay again next summer 100%
