Beautiful sunset evenings await your family at one of the cleanest lakes in the region. Excellent for motorized boating, weed-free swimming, and top rated fishing. This cottage is a true gem for relaxing, yet has good internet with wifi connectivity, Smart TV for enjoying your favorite Netflix shows on a large screen. It’s modern and comfortable for up to 6 people (+ a sleeper sofa in the living room for the occasional overnight visitor or two) and offers an open concept living-dining-kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, and a large wraparound deck overlooking water vistas of Head lake. A very gentle descent via granite steps leads you to docks and a swimming platform in front of our fire pit area, a perfect setting for your social and family gatherings. This property is only 35 minutes from Casino Rama. Set on gorgeous rugged Canadian shield granite and surrounded by a soothing canopy of tall pines and oaks on nearly 1 acre of privacy. Enjoy 105 ft of shoreline with easy access to swimming, as well as deep water (6’) to dock your boat. There are 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, 3 SUPs, 1 paddle boat, 1 non-motorized aluminum boat - are all included. FREE of charge. Watch gorgeous sunsets, and swim in pristine lake waters with NO weeds. This cottage is updated and freshly decorated. An ideal spot for your unforgettable cottage experience. This lake is famous for great fishing, boating, or just paddling in a kayak or canoe. It’s a very quiet lake with many options for both a relaxing and/or active family vacation vibe. Golf is less than 10 minutes away. Restaurants in less than 15 min away. Lots to do in the area: Kinmount Cinemas, Golf, Go-Karts, and 45 minutes to Casino Rama. This Cottage is also wheelchair accessible, and its' gentle slopes are kid-friendly. NOTE: This property is ideal for a family rental. No group parties or noisy gatherings, please. Pets are welcome for a small fee and must be kept indoors or on a leash.

We had a lovely time at this cottage. It was exactly what we needed. The dock and water was beautiful which is where we spent most of our time. The added bonus of 3 paddle boards was so enjoyable! Lovely tiers from dock to fire pit to cottage outdoor wrap around deck gave us multiple spots to enjoy at different times of day. Kitchen was the perfect size with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back! Communication with the owners was exceptional! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cottage!

Our stay started with the owner contacting and answering all our questions. She was so helpful throughout the stay. Cottage is located in the most picturesque setting on a calm, weed free lake. We learned how to kayak and tried our hand at standup paddle boarding. A great week

We enjoyed the tastefully decorated, quaint cottage at the shoreline of Head lake. The view from the cottage and deck was stunning and has easy acces to the lake for fun on the water. The weather (especially the cold wind) this time of the year is less suited for swimming and watersport. It’s for sure wonderful in the warmer seasons. We kept the inside of the cottage cozy and warm with the wood burning fireplace, adding that Thanksgiving ambience. While the kitchen was well equipped it was a bit small to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner but the outside bbq and fireplace offered plenty of room to make it all work. We enjoyed the fall colours and the first snow of the season and met with a number of friendly locals.

Incredible stay and amazing cottage. Natasha thought if everything and really provided all we needed for a great stay. We stayed in September and the water was still warm enough to swim, but very fresh! Lots of great boat rides :) The highway across the water was louder than we expected it to be, with big trucks and motorcycles driving along the highway. Otherwise a really amazing trip!

This was our first visit to this cozy and picturesque cottage, and hope to be back again next summer! Spacious, clean, and well-appointed, this cottage is situated on a beautiful and very private property with a large wrap-around deck and an idyllic shoreline. Our family had a great time relaxing at the waterfront with the many toys (we especially loved the paddle boards, paddle boat, and kayaks) and swimming to the floating dock. We also enjoyed several campfires by the lake, stargazing, and seeing all of the wildlife as well - squirrels, chipmunks, turtles, blue jays, hummingbirds too numerous to count, and even caught a few small fish from the dock. We also appreciated the modern kitchen and bathroom, and all of the beds were very comfortable. Natasha went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and was quick to respond when contacted. Nothing but good things to say about our stay, exactly what we were looking for!

We spent a week at Head Lake and it was a wonderful experience. The cottage was perfect for our group of 6 (two families including a 5 year old and a baby). Everything we needed was available at the cottage so we didn't have to leave. The lake is beautiful, amazing swimming right off the docks, lots of water crafts to use, fire pit was in a perfect location to watch the sun set. Natasha was very responsive to any questions we had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Will definitely rent again next year!

This place is exactly as described and shown on pictures - even better! Place is clean, cozy, private surrounded by trees with lake access. The owners Natasha and Leon are caring and very responsive - you can't ask for a better hosts! The sunsets are amazing - I was waiting all day for the evening so I could look at the beautiful lake and exceptional sunset. Our family enjoy the cottage immensely, did not want to go back to the busy city lives and if possible we would like to go back in the future. Thank you Natasha and Leon!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage. The host was very responsive and helpful, and made efforts to make sure we had what we needed. The swimming was excellent, and had a floating dock, our kids swam all day. There were plenty of watercraft options as well. The fire pit area was near the water, and had great views of the sunset. Hummingbirds visited multiple times per day. The kitchen was well equipped. Good indoor options for our one rainy day (games, nice size TV with satellite, books). Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again for sure.

We stayed at this cottage at Head Lake in June. Our first day was quite challenging due to a crazy wind storm that knocked out the power (and water, which relied on an electric pump). The owners kept in touch with us by text to give us instructions for where to find emergency supplies and updates from Ontario Hydro -- it was an interesting adventure! After the power and water came back on the next day, we could relax and enjoy the changing views of the lake, both from the cottage and from the beautiful dock. The well-equipped kitchen was thoughtfully supplied with some staples (oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, salt, etc) and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the screens on the windows and doors so we could enjoy the breeze but keep the bugs out. The chipmunks, hummingbirds, and jays in the garden were so fun to watch. There are some small towns a short drive away, including Bobcageon and Fenelon Falls, that were interesting to explore. Overall this was a lovely place to enjoy a week of peace and quiet and beautiful views of nature.

Fantastic place

The place is exactly as advertised and more. A wonderful escape from the city that provides a quiet relaxing experience as well as an opportunity to have fun on the lake. As a family of 4 it is rare that we find something that makes everyone happy, but this definitely hit all the points. The owners were friendly and very willing to go the extra mile to make us comfortable and welcome. Given the chance we will definitely be returning.

Our stay was everything we expected and more!!! The property is very private, incredibly clean with picturesque setting on a quiet and peaceful lake. All amenities we required were provided. A well thought out shoreline / property layout from the swimming raft to the dock, fire pit, natural stone stairs and the view from the deck was incredible....especially sunsets. Lots of activities for the kids to do all day, even on a rainy day!!! The property hosts provided great communication and made sure our stay was top notch. We would recommend this destination to all who want to just unwind and relax from reality or enjoy playing on the water.
