I am not one to use reviews to tarnish the reputation of a place so let me keep it short and easy: the location and place is as described and decent. We had a problem at the cabin that the property management was aware of and were not transparent about and us stress and not really enjoy our stay. It is not due to lack of communication but the nature of the problem that required prior handling and it was not handle and unfotunetly it will contiue to cause problems to visitors.

My two older sons, as well as my 2 grandkids and I, stayed at this cabin on 01/06-08/ 2023. The cabin is nice with 3 levels and one and a half bathrooms. Upstairs there is like a family room area, with 5 bunkbeds for kids or adults, a view area of the street and a private bedroom. The first floor has 2 bedrooms and one of them, to the right entrance, is a very noisy room because the heater system is inside the wall of that room. The house has a clean kitchen, with enough plates, cups and utensils for cooking breakfast. In general terms the cabin is nice, spacious and cozy. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The downside of the stay, whoever, was that the cabin rental rate was to expensive for the amenities that the owners provided. For example, the towels were thin, the only hair dryer was very small and old; the bunkbeds pillow covers smell bad and the extra blankes in the closet downstairs also smell very bad. If you wanted to fire log in the fire place, you have to buy your own, and don't use the ones they have because any of them can cause a re- stocking fee of 100 dollars. Oh! And the checking in is at 4:pm and the check out is at 10:am so basically each night is about 600 hundred dollar each with cleaning and VRBO fee. To the owners, we also found a pair of Jeans with belt, underwear and socks inside the drawers in the entrance right bedroom, likely from a previous guest.

The Wilkie Cabin was a great place for our family and extended family to connect! We did expect a few more supplies (towels, trash bags) to be available, since we had the max number of guests for the cabin. Other than this, it was a great stay- clean affordable, and spacious!

This is a very unique cabin with a cozy, relaxed vibe. It has a lovely deck with a nice view to hang out on. There is a quiet and little known nature preserve within a few minutes walking distance.

I liked the peace and tranquility during my stay at the cabin. Very cozy & loved how close the hiking trail was to the cabin. My only complain is that is was a tad bit cleaner, there was to many spider webs throughout the small areas in the house.

Loved the warmly furnished main room and kitchen with new appliances. Three levels with a variety of places to sleep including two rooms by a bath; a bath on main level; and on 3rd level 2 huge picture windows, card table, 6 bunk beds and an extra room with door that’s adorable. All bedding is fantastic. So much greenery on this property!
