The location, the onsen was wonderful, the sauna was fabulous, the hotel is walking distance to everything especially the market and other eating places. Really really good bakery across the road which always had many people lined up and it was delicious.
The laundry was really terrible. The washing machine function was ok but the dryer and the washer/dryer machine combination was just as terrible and didn’t dry my clothes at all. I had to go to a local laundromat which was inconvenient for me and it washed and dried my clothes there perfectly. Don’t waste your time or money using theirs is my advice

What made our stay incredible was the traditional feel of the accommodation. It was uniquely built, mixing the traditional and modern; clean, and in such a perfect location, surrounded by great cafes and bakeries. Only a 5 min walk to the main city/ strip and so close to public transport.
The Onsen baths are traditional, meaning you have to go nude. Just a heads-up when booking

Beautiful entrance in historical building
Onsens are nice
The hotel is in a nice building and at a great location but a lot of issues with the service which is really surprising in Japan
For example the staff will not make the beds/not do the room if the smallest item is left on the bed
Staff at reception was also quite unhelpful/ cold when we had asks
Regarding the room several points to note : walls were entirely scratched/ the king bed is only two double beds put together which is quite uncomfortable/ not clear from pictures but there is not separate bathroom with the shower door directly on the bedroom
Small point: it is also a shame that the onsen do not alternate between men and women to give all the guests the possibility to try both
All in all the hotel building is nice but the most disappointing stay of our trip!
