We loved this little bungalow! It was very clean and cozy and I loved the antiques and style of the home. It has a great beach access and I loved how quiet it was. Definitely a unique and fun place to stay!

Lighting needs new light bulbs. The bed downstairs was not very comfortable and small. But location of property was perfect! Overall was great and we will probably stay there again and tell others about it. Thank you for letting us use this place.

Great cottage right next to the walkway to the beach . The interior design and decor were wonderful . Everything we needed was available . It’s a charming little place .

We liked the location and the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed staying in the little AFrame but was disappointed that the downstairs bedroom and living room carpet was so dirty. There was several big dog pee stains in the living room. I was uncomfortable putting my 3lb yorkie on the carpet. The couch and chair were also dirty and needs replaced I have stayed in other dog friendly rentals that were very clean and no pee stains. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking pans

My husband and I had never been to Holden Beach so we weren't sure what to expect. The beach at this house is beautiful! The house is well decorated and just steps from the beach. It is directly beside a busy public access, so you do hear people and vehicle doors from early in the morning through late at night. It's not overly loud though, and the beach is very wide so it didn't feel too crowded. The house had some cobwebs in the corners but I guess that's to be expected in an older A-frame. There is no dishwasher (I realize it doesn't advertise one and we'd made an assumption, so I'm just giving a heads up). Also, Netflix is advertised as an amenity but you can't access it without the owner's Roku code, which we were unable to obtain when we called Vacasa. The bathroom is very tiny and the dining room table has uncomfortable seating. I personally wouldn't have wanted to share this small house with more than 1 other person but there technically is room for 4. Despite the negatives, we did enjoy our stay overall and would probably stay here again because of the location.

The amenities list for this property include "Beach View" and "Ocean View" but it has neither. It IS first row oceanfront, but sits at ground level and the dunes in the back are way taller than the deck. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to build a raised deck on the side of the house, but as it is...no ocean view. The back deck has an umbrella base, but no umbrella to go with it, so no shade on the deck. These two details were the chief disappointment we had with this property. It's really small but that was fine for us. The decorations were nice but reached the point of clutter to some degree - you will have to move things out of the way in order to have space for your groceries, supplies and personal items. The front door is very difficult to close to the point of latching and engaging the lock, and from the outside the storm door handle gets hung up on the automatic lock - we had to just wrench it open several times. This is a cute little place but it needs some upgrading.

The house was very quaint and perfect for 2 people. We enjoyed our stay very much but did wish there was an upper deck so we could have had a view of the water.

Everything was great. Loved being in this tiny house. Cookware needs some updating and dryer has to go through 2 cycles to get your clothes dry. But this property is a great place to stay. Will definitely be back.

After 50 years of vacationing, I am convinced that Anchor's Holding on the ocean front in Holden Beach, NC is one of the cutest little houses on the planet. My wife and I absolutely enjoyed everything about our week at the beach. I would recommend Anchor's Holding for any honeymooning couple or small family of 4 to enjoy memories for a lifetime. We hope to reserve Anchor's Holding again next year or even sooner! We loved it! Debbie & Phil

House was very small but quaint. Perfect for two or three. Not ideal for children. House did not have a view of the ocean. Could barely spot it in top loft looking out window. If sitting on back deck it stares directly at a hill/sand dune. Grass was tall and unkept.
