This was our 6th time staying at NEXT, which probably says everything about how much we love this place!
What keeps bringing us back is actually how simple and effortless the hotel is. There’s none of the unnecessary fuss you sometimes get with hotels, it’s modern, relaxed, incredibly clean and has everything you need for a great stay.
The sea views are absolutely amazing and one of our favourite things about staying here, as well as access to deep sea waters which we love jumping into.
The hotel is always spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable (we especially look forward to sleeping as the beds are so comfy), and the staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even after six visits, the standard has remained excellent.
If you’re looking for somewhere overly formal or full of unnecessary extras, this probably isn’t it – and that’s exactly why we love it. NEXT gets the important things right: beautiful views, cleanliness, great staff, a relaxed atmosphere and a simple, easy stay.
Six visits later and it’s still our go-to hotel whenever we come to Funchal. Jessica @ front desk is always very accomadatig in the rooms we also like!❤️

The room and the hotel were new, clean and comfortable. We liked the pool area and access to the ocean - it was really great to swim around in open ocean with an easy access to water and sunbathing, bar, towels. Overall we liked everything in the hotel - rooftop bar, breakfast, parking - all was really good for its price
Maybe the breakfast might be more diverse and they should add more towel hangers in bathrooms. And once we heard a cleaning noise in the neighbour room in the early morning, but it was just once
