The staff opening the door for you was a great touch.

The hotel has a grand marble entrance, looks brilliant. It stops there - the room decor was poor, the main door to 10-01 stck and you had to use your shoulder to open and slam the door to close. Two bath towels, quite old, no hand towels. An overly complicated Master Elects switch that played up a few times. Didn't know to ask for a River View Room (the secret is in the name) so had a view of a delapadated office block. The hotel wasn't that busy so why not give the guests the best view.
