Good, downtown location. Attractive apartment which met our needs well. Apartment needed some maintenance, which owner said would be taken care of.

No attendant 24/7. No washer and dryer. Towels worn out and not many. Showers slick and nowhere to put soap/shampoo. Carpets and sofa need cleaning. Coffee pot joke. 1 cup maker no directions. Beds comfortable and clean. Great location.

First off, as another reviewer stated, the listing had said, "one free parking spot". There was not & they refused to do anything about it. They were rude when I asked them. To be clear, there were dozens of properties that we looked at back in April 2023 that we could have booked. We decided to only look at properties that included FREE PARKING. Next time, I'll take a screen shot of the listing, b/c nothing stops them from changing the listing afterwards. The other reviewer who mentioned this problem actually had proof & Bakan still did nothing. At the end of the day, we found parking with in and out privileges for $100 for our short stay. Would it have killed Bakan to offer us that money as their listing said it was included? The property was clean but not to the level I'd expect for the price we paid (it was expensive). Lots of things are in poor condition and as other reviews mentioned, the taps are all loose and move around. Just feels cheap. Stains on the carpets. Enough crap on the ground that my wife actually felt the need to sweep up. Asked Bakan & they said: "You will have a Nespresso coffee machine in your unit with capsules". There was ONE capsule & I was tired of their rudeness so didn't contact them. There were only 3 mismatched wine glasses & 4 drinking glasses! Location was good but noise from room next door (4 young women taking at 4:30 am and could hear entire convo and TV) & AC very loud & no door on one bedroom. 3 stars is a GENEROUS review .

The good: The property is in a busy, fun location. The metro and bus lines are extremely close. The layout of the apartment is set up nicely for two couples. Though, keep in mind, one bedroom is off to the side and does not have a door on the room and the bathroom is across the hallway. The Bad: Definitely NOT a luxury rental! The floor is coming up in places so it sounds like you are walking on high heals. The couch needs a thorough cleaning. It was pretty gross. The throw pillows on the couch had spots of something stuck to them. The footrest legs were bent. The faucet on the kitchen sink was falling off. The stove isn't level and moves around when touching it. The only items in the pantry for cooking were salt and pepper (which is fine but usually there are a few more staples) so just be aware. The towels have seen better days. They were rough and very worn. The main bedroom has the ac unit in the ceiling, covered by a piece of painted plywood. It's very loud. There are holes all over the ceiling. Honestly, probably hundreds of them! There are nail holes and screws left in the walls where paintings once hung. The bathrooms, while they look to be recently refurnished and nice, they are extremely slippery. There are no bathmats to stand on and no place to put any soap, shampoo, etc. You have to put your items on the shower floor. We were very disappointed with the rental. When an owner uses the words Oasis and Luxury in the title, you expect more than a rundown place!

Beds very comfy. There are some challenges that dont allow me to rate this at 5 stars. The AC is very loud in the Master BR as the AC unit is actually mounted in the room with you in an enclosed box at the ceiling level. Cant log into the TV in the Master BR.There are a total of 4 power outlets on both sides of the stove that dont function and need fixing. And as far as a Washer and Dryer, which is listed as features...they are not in the unit so they must be common use ones somewhere in the building so not truly as advertised or should be transparent about that!

Pros: -Great location -Easy access to unit -Bathrooms professionally done, and very nice -Linens were very clean and fresh smelling -Minimal street noise despite location Cons: -HVAC for entire unit is suspended from ceiling in master bedroom, and is extremely loud especially when starting up (we set the fan to run continuously, while loud it was less disturbing than having the unit start and stop) -Wired smoke alarm for master bedroom was sitting on a shelf with batteries removed -Master bath only has a half glass barrier for shower, almost impossible to not get water on bathroom floor -Both bathrooms are very nice, but very small -Stove is neither anchored nor leveled, so it can rock while in use, to the point that water would splash out of a pot -Furniture is "Ikea+" and has seen a lot of use (side tables were wobbly, couch cushions would not stay in place, etc) -While the living room has very large windows, the exteriors of the windows have not been washed in a very long time -When I booked (April 2023) unit was advertised with "One free indoor parking space" but when I received our check in information, I was told there was no space and we'd have to find our own parking (This has since been removed from the listing as of July 2023) -Master bedroom has a thin door that opens to a small space to reveal another thin door. It was soon apparent that this was an adjoining unit, and it was very easy to hear the neighbors at night -No towel racks or hooks in the bathrooms

The good: spacious, bright, AC works well, location, pretty quiet despite street, beds and bedding comfortable The bad: Ad promised one free parking spot. Host Bakan wanted "proof" about their own ad. Provided screen shots and later photo of screen. Host claimed not received. Asked host to check ad themselves on VRBO. No response. Ad still offering free parking as at June 19/23. Parking feature was a prime reason I selected this apartment. Not having it added nearly $100 to my costs. Cleanliness: couch and rugs grubby. Superficial dusting only. Maintenance: many minor items: north bathroom bolt missing from toilet seat, kitchen faucet loose, electrical outlets above kitchen counter not working (breaker was on), stove wobbly, garbage can missing lid. Amenities: no door on north bedroom, no deadbolt on entrance door to apartment, AC very noisy in south bedroom, bathrooms cramped, only 2 wineglasses, insufficient towels, no placemats, no coffee pot.

The apartment has plenty of room for 4 adults. The living room and dining room are very large. Beds were comfortable but beware that the front bedroom is next to a vibrant and lively street so you might experience some noise especially on nicer days when the nearby college students are out and about. Pick the back bedroom if you need silence to sleep. Entry into the building and apt was easy and the codes were communicated to us well in advance. Upon entry we noticed the carpets had not been vacuumed but management sent someone over to clean them. The bathrooms had nice shower systems but one of the showers was definitely on the smaller side and a little bit of a challenge if you are used to having more room for your products and movement. But still manageable. There was plenty of room for luggage in the apartment. The location is on a lively street with lots of shops and restaurants. It's a good location for bouncing around Montreal with easy access to the Metro and the Underground City. And walkable to the Old City area of Montreal. Beware though that there is a marijuana dispensary next door. Convenient if that is your thing and safety was never an issue but we did notice that smells from the shop would wafted up to the apartment. We became nose blind to it eventually but it was noticeable each time we entered.
