Okeanos Beach Boutique Hotel

Modern, clean and quiet location

The fridge in my room is was small, low quality and not cold enough. The door shelf kept falling off so could not pack much in the fridge. Breakfast buffet selection was not big.

The hotel is well maintained, right next to the beach, very clean, perfect for a bit more chill holiday vibe. The staff pays attention to your needs, they are always there to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible. I can only recommend the hotel.

Id have liked a shower next to the foot washer on the way back from the beach.

Room quite small. I got a twin room just for myself - not much room to move around and would be quite cramped for two. Breakfast OK but could be better for the money.

+ Receptionists are quite informative and helpful, but you need to ask specific questions, not all of the information is given at the check in + Proximity to the beach + A couple of private sunbeds and umbrellas upon entering the beach (however guests like to hog those by "reserving" by putting a towel onto them and leaving for a couple of hours) + A decent pool with sunbeds and umbrellas + There is a gym with some really nice equipment

- The gym is open only till 20:00 - Lack of roof on the balconies (during the day it is impossible to stay there due to intensive sunshine) - Breakfeast variety is absent and quality is ok for a 3-star hotel, not a 4-star level - Lack of any sign with opening hours of the pool (by trial and error we found that it was 09:00 - 19:00) - Lack of any acoustic insulation at the door, you hear everything what's happening on the corridor (easily fixed by some adhesive insulating strip) - We prefer to leave "do not disturb" for short stays. Despite that, room service knocked on our door, ignoring the flashing red sign "do not disturb" - They close off the enterenace to the beach at 19:00. The best time for swimming here is around 17:00 (lower uv index, warm sea). Naturally, after coming from the beach, you'd like to quickly wash your feet unless you'd like to make a sandy mess out of your room. When you come via that enterence after 19:00, staff and god forbid manager looks at you like you're some public enemy. Quite often I do get the feeling of beeing invigilated by hotel mgmt. - Ordered some food on "A la carte", waited for over 40 minites. At the end, the meat served was absolutely overcoocked and dry - We found the manager quite intrusive, monitoring each and every guest while having their meals. A discomforting experience not expected of a vacation stay. - You can order food "a la carte" only in between some specific hours, of course the guests are not being told of that, so trial and error - 22 EUR for a meal, 39 EUR for a 3-meal daily upgrade per person. Not the best deal. - Overall got a feeling of a student dorm, not a 4-star boutique hotel
