The apartment was clean and spacious. Kitchenette had a microwave and small fridge, kettle and basic utensils. Bathroom was also quite large. Free parking, Wifi and Netflix.

Beautiful modern bathroom, well equipped little kitchen, near the main road, view on Kirkjufell (alas the not so famous side)
Shared balcony, so you might have to pull the curtains early on if you don’t want someone to look into your room through the window

A cosy and comfortable one-night stop. The room had a lovely balcony (we didn’t get to use it but it looked inviting), streaming facilities which were perfect for unwinding after a long day on the road, and thoughtfully placed plug sockets on both sides of the bed — a small thing that makes a real difference when you’re travelling as a couple.
No stove, which is worth knowing if you’re planning to self-cater — most Ring Road travellers cook to keep costs down. There is a microwave but guests are prohibited from heating milk in it, which left me unable to make porridge in the morning. There was also a noisy boiler — particularly noticeable when hot water was running, but it seemed to make noise throughout the night too.
