Very authentic building.
Temperature control is difficult. Sometimes too hot even using AC.

It's a great place for those wanting to see a Soviet-style hotel. It has so much potential. It is super central, clean, and the staff is great. The breakfast room is incredible, and the food is pretty good. The view from some of the rooms is very leafy (on Panfilov Park).
The rooms are SO old. The televisions from the 90s should be replaced or at least removed. No tea, no boiler, no water, nothing more than the bare minimum. You have a jewel in your hands. Do better. The gym is almost ridiculous. I think you should either fix it or close it. There are no weights (one pair or really low weight ones), treadmills, or anything.

Amazing and beautiful brutalist hotel in the heart of Almaty, close to the main amenities, park, Green Bazar and restaurants. You could reach any spot just by walking. The breakfast room is a piece of art, it seemed to be in a theatre.

Location is great
No English speaking, poor internet connection and very very very old facilities such as AC and furniture more than 30 years old.
