The manager was great. The home not so much. Massive deferred maintenance. Even the BBQ was rusted out. Pretty much everything needs replacing- windows counters bathrooms are all vintage 1980’s. The house is for sale so the owners apparently are not willing to remodel or even replace. Not even an inexpensive BBQ. For what they charge you can do much better.

The house was clean, the view amazing, we had a good time. The size of the tables are great, the beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet, which we liked. The windows were cloudy and not easy to see out of. They were difficult to open due to rust. Some didn't open. Deck has peeling paint, as does one bathroom. The photos of the house are misleading. They are distorted and the cushions, umbrellas etc are not as fresh as in the photos. We didn't realize that there is a sunken dining room, which was a problem for us with a member who is vision impaired and uses a walker. Would be nice to have a railing on steps to deck. Disappointed that the fire pit didn't work. The beach is rocky and really unwalkable. The first thing you see when you walk in the door is a large rusty vent, not a good first impression. While we had a nice time, we will not go back.

Always love the beach. Been to this community at least 5 times including this one. But if CA keeps losing the sandy part of the beach we will not return to this community. It is a lot of money to not be able to walk on the beach is sad. As for the house it is not really good for handicapped seniors. Too many steps daily. It is a very nice house. Also showers were not handicapped accessible easily. Handheld shower wand would have been good. At these prices and the way CA is going we won’t be back to this community. I will always love the beach. Parking was not convenient.

I’d give 5 stars for location, amazing view, comfortable beds, clean sheets and floors which were nice and clean if not for the following: -Parking situation was a huge inconvenience. You can’t get through the gate without a pass and they only allow 2 passes. No exceptions. I would understand this if the house itself didn’t have a two car garage with driveway which could easily fit 3 cars. Apparently the owners just needs to write a letter to the county requesting a third pass since the property have room for three on site. We were given the option to drive across the busy highway, up a hill to a private neighborhood where we would need to put a car in front of someone’s house. So rude and unnecessary. The overflow parking just outside the gate closes at 10pm. House sleeps 11. Few guests could fit all those people with luggage in 2 cars. A phone call or letter could fit this problem. - 10 bikes in the garage pictured on the site for guests to use? Not one of them was in working order. Not one! - kitchen cabinets sticky and gross - rusting ventilation registers and downstairs walls need a coat of paint Other than that people in the community were really nice, neighbors are quiet and could be a really perfect place

When we got there for our check in at 4pm and there was some trouble with getting parking passes with the cars, but that was no big deal. Then we arrived at the house and the cleaning service was still in the house, again not terrible although the floor was still wet when we finally entered. The house is GORGEOUS inside and has a fantastic back porch space and we were initially very impressed. Then we noticed little things, like there was absolutely no hand soap anywhere, and then the next morning we went to make bacon in the oven and the oven shorted out and we had to find the circuit breaker to fix. The next day a handy man showed up saying he was told to take a look at the water heater and we didn't have any kind of notification of something being wrong much less to expect someone at the house, and on top of that, after he left, there was NO HOT WATER. We had to restart the pilot light ourselves. There are obviously some maintenance things wrong with the appliances that need to be fixed and made our stay a little frustrating instead of the relaxing getaway we were looking for. But as long as you don't need to wash your hands, or plan to cook anything, or just want to wash yourself in the ocean because of no hot water, the place is idyllic.

Great location, wonderful community, and can't beat the beach access. House has plenty of space. We did have difficulty with some of the appliances and the property management company did not reply to any of our messages for help on the VRBO app. Specifically, the fuse was tripped on the oven, the dishwasher did not work, the outlets were inconsistent, and some of the lights didn't switch on.

The property was as advertised, location was great and so close to the beach. Unfortunately, the heat never worked, they sent someone out to fix but it never did come on which made me he nights very cold. There were also SO many ants! Overall we had a good time.

Astounding views of the ocean, plenty of space, nice bedrooms and great layout of the house, conducive to visiting. Erosion, so difficult to walk to the beach but the property description was upfront about this. Several maintenance issues, including lack of hot water and and water pressure but I have been told this will be resolved. A little difficulty with communication prior to stay but excellent communication at check-in and check-out. Overall very positive experience.
