The proximity and the large and cozy room .

Great value for money for this neighbourhood especially if you are traveling by car. For additional and reasonable price the hotel reserves a parking spot in front of the entrance making it very easy to unload and load the luggage. The exit to the main boulevard is just 200m away so you don't spend hours in traffic jam during rush hours.
The very centre of Sultanahmet is just on 10 min walking distance and the neigbourhood has many cafes and restaurants open from 7:00 a.m. till after midnight.
I also liked that the street was very quiet because very little traffic goes through it.
The breakfast was poor to my taste, but maybe I am very spoiled.
Lack of coffee from coffee beans also was a big minus. The coffee machine prepared instant coffee so I was walking to the nearest cafeteria every morning.
We had ants in one of the rooms which were biting and they were all over the place.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made our stay at this hotel truly enjoyable. As a tip, if possible, try to book room 302—it’s simply amazing!

I was very disappointed with our stay. The room was spacious and the balcony offered lovely views, but that’s where the positives ended.
Upon entering the room it smelt very musty, even though the windows had been opened. The carpet looked old, stained and in need of replacing. It felt dirty enough that I didn’t want to take my shoes off. The shower had black mould around it and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, the drain was blocked and took ages to empty.
The balcony was also neglected, with bird droppings covering the floor, chairs and side surfaces. It had obviously been there for some time, and we had to clean it ourselves before we could use it.
Housekeeping was another let-down. We stayed for three days, and despite the hotel advertising daily room cleaning, our room was never serviced!
We had to empty the bins ourselves. We also weren’t provided with enough toilet roll or soap (half toilet roll and a tiny amount of soap in a bottle for 3 nights) Which we then had to request more of and felt a nuisance doing so. The janitor then proceeded to walk through our room in his outdoor shoes, into our bath room into the shower to over fill the soap not put the lid on.
The staff weren’t particularly welcoming or helpful. On arrival, we were handed two leaflets – one for a Turkish bath and one for a Turkish night. We were simply told that was all they had. It would have been nice to receive some local knowledge or suggestions, especially for first-time visitors.
This hotel has the potential to be much better, but it needs some real care, attention and investment in both its facilities and customer service. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others.
