We stayed in the home from mid-September to mid-December and had an amazing time!
Pros:
-Truly feels like a home
-Incredibly dog friendly home and neighborhood (our dog made a few friends on the block!) and there’s tons of cute touches like a bin of dog toys!
-Location! Easy to bike to town, Pope Beach, and Camp Richardson and there’s so many trails straight from the door to walk, run, hike, and bike!
-Well stocked kitchen - we made thanksgiving dinner here and had plenty of mixing bowls, measuring cups, plates, etc. to be able to cook
-Pretty good WiFi (crashed occasionally but never for too long)
-Lots of heaters supplied to keep the place toasty in the winter months
-The neighbors on both sides are only in town occasionally (and the house behind seems to be vacant) so it’s very quiet and great for wildlife watching! We saw quite a few bears out the window!
-Great laundry machines
-Water comes out of the tap nice and cold for drinking so doesn’t really need ice
-Desks and computer monitors are supplied making this a great place to work remotely!
Cons:
-Vacasa does not actually maintain the yard so expect it to be a mess of pine needles/ pine cones that coat dog/ human feet in sap and make a huge mess inside (we borrowed a rake from a kind neighbor and cleaned the yard ourselves)
-The snow removal service (All Clean Snow Removal) takes forever after a snow storm to come plow so expect to need to shovel frequently (note: you will not receive warning to move your car out of the way so they really only plow about 1/4 of the driveway)
-Only one kitchen dish towel was supplied and there were no cleaning products outside of a pack of wipes so you’ll need to purchase products to be able to clean the bathroom, dust, etc.
-Wish the bikes mentioned in the listing were available after Labor Day since the weather in September/ October was so amazing!
-The microwave is only ~700 watts so expect everything to take 2x as long to heat up
-Limited overhead lighting on the main floor makes it quite dark inside during the winter months so we used headlamps when puzzling
-Bed pillows could definitely use replacing
-Vacasa does not supply the blue recycling bags that the city uses so we went and got our own from South Lake Tahoe Refuse so we could recycle (the city will replace the blue bags each trash day but you do need a blue bag to get started)
Additionally, neither a pro nor a con but there is a ring camera outside of the garage.
Overall, if this home wasn’t rented through Vacasa; we’d absolutely come back! We loved it here!

We’d definitely come back here after the 5 weeks we spent here in Spring 2021. What a wonderful place!

We had a great time. The house was cozy and overall clean. Great location. I would have loved to see a newer stove/oven since we had a hard time cooking roasts in the oven but other than that everything was great.

Perfect Family Home Away From Home
We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet cozy home! We were looking for a place where we could include our fur baby on our vacation and this home was perfect. Each room has been thoughtfully laid out and decorated and the little touches of dog friendly details was very inviting. The home is only one property away from the bike trail and so conveniently located between Camp Richardson and the nearest shopping centers, while being secluded on a quiet friendly neighborhood street. Would definitely recommend!

The stay was great. The house is comfortable. The walls are thin so you will hear everything that the kids are doing upstairs and the tv noise. Did not bother us as I love knowing what the kids are doing :) The biggest issue we encountered was the back door is very difficult to open or we just could not open it at all. We had to use the side gate to enter the backyard. The bikes were a great addition to the stay. Thank you.

Sadly this property did not meet expectations for cleanliness in light of current guidance from the CDC or the state for leisure travel. This property does NOT have a dishwasher and the sponge left on the sink was used, looked old and was not clean. There was also a scrub brush..used and not clean. We were uncertain as to the cleanliness of any kitchen items and re-cleaned them before using with one of the 2 hand towels provided. In addition when we arrived the garbage(bear box) was completely full with instructions to leave trash in the garage. In the arrival instructions it stated there is a remote for the garage but on confirming with property manager there is no remote and we had no access to the garage so information provided was inaccurate. All trash had to remain in the house. The yard is just dirt so keep that in mind. The location isn't too bad with proximity to open space and bike path but close to 89 and commercial business. We ended up staying only one night and felt this property was overpriced. We have stayed in many vacation homes and we were definitely disappointed this time.

This house had great access to the bike trail and nearby hiking and it was a short drive to the dog friendly beach. We loved the backyard and the washer and dryer came in handy too. Really no bad comments about this place although the pet fee was a bit steep.

Amazing stay in a quiet neighborhood.
WE. Party of 6 with a small Pomeranian dog. 2 couples and 2 moms.
LOCATION. Is very convenient. It is not far away from the main road, so commute to attractions is quick, but this distance is enough to isolate the house from the noise. Road to the house is good (winter time) and space in front of the house fits perfectly up to 3 cars.
CHECK-IN PROCESS. Really easy! TurnKey provided us with all information that we need in advance.
LIVING ROOM/KITCHEN AREA. Area is nice and homey. Temperature in the house was comfortable (adjustable). We really enjoyed staying in front of the fireplace in the evening, playing boardgames (there are many boardgames in the property), drinking Mulled Wine and listening Christmas songs.
Kitchen table suites 6 persons. There are lots of pots and pans, cups etc.
There is a big dryer, which is very convenient after the whole day in the snow!
BEDROOMS. My husband and I stayed on the first floor in the bedroom with one queen bed and for me it was very comfortable! There is no closet in this room, but you have your personal bathroom!) There were many pillows and blankets. It was very quiet in the night.
DOG. It feels like this house is very friendly. Dog bowls, different nice signs, treats! :) Our dog felt really happy and calm in there!
TURNKEY. Really nice company! I contacted them two times with different questions and both times they helped me really quick.
We really enjoy staying in this house! The price was reasonable.
We definitely would come again!

Super cute cabin with tasteful decorations and pretty much all amenities you need. Very dog friendly with fenced in backyard. The layout is perfect for 2 couples and the location is away from busy casinos and traffic. The bikes provided were in a bit of disarray when we found them and we had to fix an adult hike chain to ride it. Had fun riding down bike path to Beacon Restaurant for dinner along the water. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Cute cabin in great location!
We (2 couples + dog) really enjoyed our stay! The cabin is decorated very nicely and has all the amenities you need. The backyard is fenced and perfect for your furry friends. Upon check in we did notice that 1 of the adult bikes was not operable (the chain was off) but we were able to fix it and took a ride to the Beacon Restaurant (about 2 miles down bike path). Location is perfect (away from casino/resort crowds) and we’d absolutely stay again. FYI: if you book on HomeAway, it didn’t include pet fee ($200) on top of the cleaning/service fees, so I had to pay this extra to rental management company. Overall... nice layout to the cabin and perfect for our size group.

There was nothing that went wrong with our stay with this house for the weekend. We mainly cooked and used the BBQ grill and I loved how the kitchen was fully equipped. Only thing that was missing was a sponge to wash the dishes but that was least of our worries. It was cute and beds were cozy. Thank god there was a working heater cause it got pretty cold at night during June. Other than that, I would def stay here again. The response from the owner was quick everytime we had a question. It was so great how we had an automatic early checkin!
