Other reviews have said the hotel needs refurbishment. True, but for me that was part of the charm.

The hotel has a very convenient location, close to the beach, bus stops, including the airport shuttle stop from Palermo Airport, as well as shops. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We also really enjoyed having a swimming pool at the hotel.
Another big advantage is that the hotel provides plenty of beach umbrellas that guests can take to the beach free of charge. This was very convenient and meant we didn’t have to buy our own.
There was no proper place in the room to dry clothes or towels, not even a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
Our room faced the inner courtyard, and the window itself was positioned to the side, behind a wall. As a result, there was very little natural daylight in the room, and we had to keep the lights on even during the day.
The wardrobe was quite old and had no shelves, which made it difficult to store our clothes, so we had to keep most of our things in our suitcases throughout the stay.
There was also no kettle or cups in the room, which was inconvenient.
Breakfast was generally quite good, but the selection of vegetables was very limited. The only options were cooked zucchini and a whole tomato, so a little more variety would have been appreciated.

It's super clean, the staff are friendly and the swimming pool is amazing.
Although it only takes a short walk to reach the beach, the pavement is broken and dirty. It's not the hotel's fault, but it takes a few days to get used to it.

Helpful reception. Nice pool.
It's about 1km walk to Mondello centre. There are infrequent buses. The hotel is set in residential streets, with very little around it. There is one cafe nearby. The hotel has no food during the day. The breakfast was pretty ordinary.... Whole tomatoes, why not sliced? And the waiter cleared plates onto a table cloth and wrapped it up, right in front of me. Never seen THAT anywhere before. I didn't have dinner.
The whole place needs a update.
