Peaceful location away from busy Hoi An

Peacefulness. Lovely location not far by cycle to the beach or Hoi An town. Staff were very helpful.

The shower is a wet room. Every time you used the shower it soaked the floor which is to be expected. However it did not dry. Each time you needed to use the toilet you had to use the sliders, provided by the hotel, and roll up your trouser legs. Not a bit issue but a bit annoying as the water didnt drain away as expected.

Tra Que Mansion: Hoi An in a peaceful fashion

A very peaceful and cosy place, right in between the town and the beach. Staff is always very kind and helpful. Rooms were great, and so was the restaurant for both dinner or just enjoying a nice cocktail.

We thought being too far away from areas of interest, but actually renting a scouter for the day made it very easy.

“Mansion” is a real stretch.

The pool was nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable despite the blanket being too small for the bed. The couch was a nice feature as well. Many different lighting options for the room was fun also.

For the cost of the room unfortunately I had a lot of complaints with what I got versus my expectation from their booking.com listing. Everything here is in need of a facelift, which isn’t a big deal but yea, chipped paint, mold, old wood, lots of exposed wiring. If you’re looking forward to a bath, temper your expectations and know it will take at least two hours to fill the tub with water, and you cannot regulate the temperature, it will either be scalding hot, or cold, and it will drain on its own pretty quickly despite being plugged. The main problem I had here was that I requested a dark room and the balcony had a bright light that is under the control of the hotel which they leave on all night long despite telling you they will turn it off at 10pm. The curtains are not blackout curtains so this meant my room was not at all dark, to say nothing of all the electronic lights keeping the room lit up. I called the hotel, was ignored and hung up on (I suppose they cannot speak English despite all the staff behind the checkout counter speaking English really well.), then had to get dressed and find the security guard to ask him to turn it off, he needed to call someone to learn how to do it so they clearly lied to me when they said they turn them off at 10. The next day there was no mention of it or apology for the inconvenience. Why would you turn on every balcony light all night if you don’t have blackout curtains? Not having dark rooms is a common problem in Vietnam because Vietnamese people are usually afraid of the dark but normally if you ask they will accommodate you somehow, this hotel not so much. A couple other small issues, the TV didn’t work on arrival and they had to replace it, it was a smart tv but YouTube didn’t work, just some FPT app which was all Vietnamese content so kind of useless for me.

Absolutley fantastic. Will be back.

The staff was so accommodating. After we had checked out, we went to the beach for a bit, as we didn't have a flight until the evening. The staff allowed us to return to the hotel and use another room to shower and freshen up before our fights, even after checking out. Their thoughtfulness in this instance was just one small example of their stellar hospitality throughout our stay. Would highly recommend staying here!

There could have been more pool loungers. There were only a few around the pool and most of the time they were in use.

This is a good location if you want some peace and quiet. But still relatively close to the old town and beach. The Tra Qué village is filled with picturesque farms to cycle through and beautiful rice paddy fields are not too far. There are some excellent restaurants that also offer cooking classes nearby, here I have eaten some of the best food in my life.

The bath in our room was damaged and was not working though I did not contact the room service to fix it as it was my final night, they may have been able to if I did and perhaps it is working now.

Calm place but a bit hard to come and go

It's a lovely place with lovely people, however it didn't really work for me because of the location. I had booked one night thinking I might extend, but I ended up just staying the one night. The issue is that many grab drivers refuse to go down the road; the one I took to get there dropped me off at the main road and I was left to walk with my luggage under the broiling midday heat. Since I didn't have a bike or scooter, it also complicated things for coming and going. I would go back, but organizing around the location. For example, get dropped off early or late in case you have to walk, plan to spend the day at the pool to take advantage of the calm rather than prioritizing going out, and so on. Of course this is all moot for people who have their own transport.

The location didn't work for me, but it could be a plus (bc of the calm) if one has their own transport.

The staff were really friendly and looked after me during my staff. The pool, the room, and the surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast in the restaurant was super fresh. Great location to relax and then cycle into Hoi An or to the beach.

Splendid relaxing days with friendly staff

A real jewel. Beautifully placed on a Penninsula. Heaven for vegetarians, lots of possibilities to visit different places. The Cam Island, where the hotel is situated, seems to try to explore alternative ways to make a living besides tourism. Organic gardening and selling the vegetables and herbs.

Hoi An is very busy with Guests, after the Covid break, it seems everyone you meet tries to make as much money as possible.

Very comfortable, spacious and beautiful room. Nice design of the hotel, nice common area. Extremely helpful staff, who can arrange anything for you including laundry, motorbike rental, booking tours around the area, even sending packages to Europe. There is a nice pool by the hotel, bikes are free to use. the breakfast was very tasty (mix of European and Vietnamese dishes). The location was perfect for us, because it was in a charming little town close to the vegetable farm and outside of pretty busy Hoi An

Very lovely and helpful staff! The hotel is located near the beach (20mn walk) a bit far from the old quarter and that's what is good about it, it is quiet and away from the busy streets of hoi an. The pool is great, the room is huge with a very comfy bed! I had the best experience at Tra Que Mansion!

Very good

The location is stunning, hotel has a beautiful garden with a lake and is surrounded by fields. The beach is a 20 minute walk away, walking into Hoi An would take about 30 minutes. The hotel offers free bike rental so it's easy to get to both very quickly.

There was scaffolding going up to paint the place, so that was an early awakening to a lot of noise but I guess, work has to be done some time. The staff in the breakfast area for the first two mornings was very friendly but had to be prompted for everything, putting a fan on and . Guess they were just a bit unexperienced. Would definitely stay there again though

Very beautiful hotel, located in Tra Que village. It is easy to get to Hoi An by bike (10 min, bikes from the hotel for free) or to the beach (5 min). The location is great because it is really peaceful and not as busy as in the town. The rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and supportive. They helped us with booking a trip to My Son and organising a transfer to the airport. They also recommended restaurants with excellent local food. Thank you so much to the entire team.

Beautiful setting in the herb fields! lovely pool and lovely staff, Tri is extremely helpful with anything!

Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, wouldve been nice to have a change of towels etc..

Cosy, fashionable, great value for money and great staff speaking excellent English!

The host and the whole staff is just amazing. It’s little outside of Hoi An (3km) but with taxi’s and Grab (uber) it’s still only €2 and 10min drive. Amazing breakfast, stunning view, great pool, beautiful room with a stunning bathroom. Price is a little higher than the rest but still very affordable and worth every penny!

On grab (uber) it’s hard to find because they still have the old name on there.

A wonderful place to stay which is nicely positioned for both beach and town and the staff are so accommodating

The hotel has great rooms with a stunning bathroom. The pool is great and you have a lovely choice of breakfast dishes. The staff are extremely friendly and helped with everything I asked. It is situated about 10 mins drive from the town centre and 5 mins from the beach. There is a complimentary bike service or you can also also hire a scooter from them.

Perfect stay!

This was just perfect - wonderful facilities, everything clean and nice, spacious rooms, nice pool, great breakfast and super nice and caring people! The location is close to the beach and the town but not in the midst of it - so everything is super close distance and you can have a very relaxed stay here with a calm surrounding. With a scooter the beach is 5 and the town 10 mins away - there are also free bikes which you can use. The best thing were the people who took such good care of us and just gave really good vibes of a really engaged young team who authentically enjoy taking care of their guests. Super smooth communication and truly friendly - we wanted to stay 2 nights and ended up staying 5 because we liked it so much. Thank you!
