The hotel is a beautiful old building that has been tastefully modernised to include modern conveniences whilst retaining its old world charm. It is located in a pleasant and quiet part of the city close to the metro, shops and cafes.
Check in online was super helpful in reducing the time at the counter although the staff were friendly and efficient.
We were given an upgrade and that was appreciated, although I think the only difference was that we had a balcony rather than a window. It was a nice touch even though we didn’t use the balcony.
The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Nice quiet air conditioning and superb black-out curtains. The bathroom was spacious and the shower wonderful.
The pool area, although small was comfortable with a bar where you could order drinks and food.
The bar and restaurant associated with the hotel was a lovely place to have drinks/food although for us (being pescatarians), the choice was limited.
All in all we loved our short stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, should we be visiting Barcelona.
