Overnight stop on route to our destination. Desk clerk (8:00 pm) was so helpful and nice. Efficient and cheerful.

Definately needs updating, fresh coat pf paint. Rip up the old worn carpets as well. Policy states no smoking but hallways smelt like pot for 3 days.

I booked this place for my boss thinking that since it was pricey to be a Super 8 it would be decent. Not every one can tolerate pets. Some of us have allergies to pets or pet smells. A lot of the rooms that my boss was given still had pet smells and or pet hair in them. It is the hotel's responsibility to make sure if you are going to be pet friendly then to make sure you don't expose others to the hair and smells. Not good for my boss. He was not happy at all.

Getting to parking lot is mildly difficult. It is right next to a truck stop and a 24 hour wrecker service so I used my headphones for noise canceling at night. My room was clean, water pressure was nice in the shower and staff was friendly.

I don't think anyone had actually cleaned the room before we arrived that evening. There was no tissues in the receptacle in the bathroom. The room had a bad odor (it was the pet friendly room) but no one had bothered to sanitize the floor or any of the surrounding area. We did not bother to eat any of the breakfast items (not after my experience with the condition of the room. The night staff told me of a lady who had stolen a bed cover and the consequence of that (as though I looked suspicious for that kind of activity). The hall way was old, badly worn and needed some serious cleaning. We had stayed at a Super 8 in Beloit, Wis. the night before and already formed an opinion about the Super 8, their prices charged for the conditions of the rooms and especially the service and introduction I received at this unit.

While the staff was very friendly the room had a bad odor, like mildew. They were very dingy inside hallways and rooms. . They had a very unsafe feel about it, loud and boisy at night .

It was easy to check in and out. We didn’t eat the breakfast. There was no elevator so we had to carry everything up 21 stairs.

Property good location for convenience. Room spacious just whole property old. The moisture in room has caused metals to rust. The hot water was incredible. Very nice hot shower. Microwave didn’t work and breakfast was okay.

We were charged a $15/per pet/per night fee which was fine but the room they put us in smelled so bad of dog pee and the top cover on the bed which we never use anyway smelled so strongly of dog. I just don’t understand what the pet fee is for if they don’t even clean the rooms better than any other room. I’ve never stayed in a pet room that smelled so bad. We were also told we could not leave our dogs in the room at all unless we were at breakfast which I’ve never been told before. We have left our dog in a cage in our room in the past. I felt like they were a bit rude when asking about the dogs and telling us the rules. The breakfast was mediocre at best but didn’t expect much for the price of the hotel. I would definitely not go back.

The hotel is pretty gross. The customer service reps were awesome though. There was mold in the hallways ceilings right above my door #112, and throughout the entire hallway. Blood was on the tub, holes in the bathroom and the smell from the room was hideous. My guest went for breakfast, not really much available. There were no parking available due to a bunch of bikers-20 bikes taking up the spaces and refusing to leave, swearing that they were hotel guest. I woke up early next morning 5am, only 3 bikes were parked out there.

Vacuuming hallways at 8:30 on Saturday am. Really? Then locked keys at 2:00 am good thing we didn’t need them to access building. Housekeeping knocking on a flagged DND door on Sunday AM at 8:00am. ??? Ok beds were like roller coasters with humps and divots. Towels and blankets were scratchy. It’s a Super 8 so we didn’t expect much but a decent bed and privacy would have been nice. They’re for Parents Weekend at SIU so we only used the room to sleep and shower. Careful in the bathtub. Slick and nothing to grab onto.

Loud music was playing all night. Asked clerk up front to take care of it she did nothing. Very unhappy with accommodation. Stains on sheets very odd smell. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fair price for a 1 nt stay (road trip). Food places all around. Good location off the interstate. The rooms are “interior” & the lobby doors closed 10pm without key card..felt secure. & was able to park right outside the lobby doors. Breakfast wasn’t much besides coffee & muffin.the breakfast room with table & chairs serves as the “lobby” in the evenings. Next door is a conv store & mcD.

This is a cheap and great place to stay for a quick overnight stay if you are long haul traveling. However, it's not a place I'd stay multiple nights. The breakfast was very basic, the room had a slight funk to it, but it had everything you'd need to get a night of sleep. I'd stay here again for the price point and if checking in late and checking out early.

My family and I stayed here for one day on our way to Michigan. The hotel was ok for the price. It needs a little remodeling. You can hear the floors squeaking when you walk on the stairs and in the room you can hear people walking above you. Overall it was a comfortable stay and good breakfast. I would stay here again.
