It was just one night so it was no big deal but the room was in pretty bad shape, carpet was dirty and stained and made the room smell pretty bad. There was hairs in the main bed and the shower/tub had some serious mold in the edges, there was bugs in the kitchenette.

Toilet ran all night, bathroom smelled like a urinal, missing a nightstand, refrigerator badly needed defrosting, small pieces of trash on carpet, no facial tissue, no laundry bags, and the toilet paper holder was missing. It was an ADA room but that makes the problems even worse.

I will never book this again. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag, as soon as we walked in the room and with great surprise it had a weed smell. My partner and i dont mind it but we had our kids with us. No other room that matched ours so we couldnt move. The pull out couch mattress was disgusting/stained and the cusion zipper was broken so the foam was exposed. It was after 10pm and we were tired from a 3 hr drive so we just called it a night. Front desk didnt seem to care.

Check in was super easy. Beds were comfy and the breakfast was so much more than I anticipated! Would definitely stay here again. The building is a bit tired, but it did not distract from our two-night stay.

We spent 2 nights. The first non smoking room had a heavy odor of marijuana. The staff was courteous and changed our room.

Room smelled like cigarette . We had a 3 rd floor room and windows open with no screen protection and i had my daughter with me.Everything in there was super dirty. I asked for xtra sheets and gentleman in the front made a comment like i was going to steal them.

Hotel room was clean and nice to have a little kitchenette. Staff not overly friendly. They don't greet you, the staff at desk doesn't even give eye contact. The kitchen staff for breakfast just look at you when you walk up. No Hello. How can I help you. This is our daily special, even tho there was a sign that said what the special was.But, no greetings. Anyone can go in and out of hotel, no security. Someone's car got broken into during the night, broken car window glass all over parking lot. I don't know if I would stay here again. Maybe upper management is not great, cookie rolls downhill. Not so good management, not so good staff. McDonald's and TacoBell next door.

The check in process was quick and friendly. The rate that was paid and for all the amenities and breakfast, I would definitely come back again if I’m in the area.

We stayed four nights while visiting family. Room was good, beds very good, breakfasts individually cooked (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage offered; really unusual). During that time I had very bad ankle sprain. Hotel provided a wheel chair! All the staff very friendly and helpful. This is a permanent place for me when I visit again.

It’s an average place to stay in. We stayed for just 4 days with family and it was ok. The breakfast was good enough. The property looked pretty old and the bathrooms had broken fittings. Needs improvements. It’s ok for a short stay not that the price was too low. Thank you.

We have holidays at the Hawthorn. between all three rooms we were able to make what we needed. For the price of the rooms, it was nice. I would love to come back next year and see the in room basic houseware to be more complete. We were not able to use the bigger of the burners in two of the rooms as the elements didn’t heat up. Our rooms were 102-nice intirioror, needs more dishes and silverware to accommodate a family of 5. Room 107 has a dishwasher inside, but again needed more in home basic houseware to accommodate a family of 5 the silverware drawer is screwed shut but there is silverware in the cabinets. For Room 108 this room accommodates a family of 4. The in home basics were needed in here. There was a little bit but definitely not enough to accommodate a small family of 4. It’s very important that having suites , have the basic elements working and the basics houseware available no matter what the cost is. Overall my family was welcomed and always greeted with a smile. Christina in the restaurant stood out to me so much I had to stop by and give her a hug for the holidays. She was so helpful every morning and had a smile and willing to go the extra mile to make me happy and feel welcomed. So thank you Christina! -Kristina Eisenhut and the Christopher’s :)

The property is clean, convenient, affordable, and slightly worn. My room had a small kitchenette (but no cookware, dishes, or utensils). Overall, I would stay at the property again because of its good quality/cost ratio.

I spent a weekend here in December. The staff was great very friendly and engaging. The gentleman at the desk really chatted me up about the renovations that were being done and asked if I would like one of the most recently remodeled rooms. I was not pleased to say the least. Furniture was chipped and laminate peeling off. Fabric on arm chair was extremely worn. No defuser on bathroom faucet, wafer sprayed everywhere. Stove top would shock me when power was on. Hot weather temperature was just enough to be OK but not enough to call hot. Breakfast was very good although thirty minutes late one day. Really quite neighborhood, wouldn’t stay there again if other options were available.

I left a bag and jacket in the closet. Door from bathroom swings in front of closet door, obscuring it. Realized what I had done several hours later when I didn't have my book. Called the hotel, went so far as to be escorted back to room to check. It had already been cleaned and "someone" now has my stuff!! Thankfully not anything that I can't live without :(

Checked in around 6 PM, Bathroom counter was dirty, silverware in drawer consisted on 4 knives, 1 fork and no spoons....all dirty. Stove was not clean. No dish towels or paper towels. I was on a non-smoking floor in a non smoking room and someone was smoking pot all night 2 doors down. Day 2, no lights or electricity in the bathroom. I truly felt like I couldn't use any of the kitchen items or put anything on the counters for fear of germs. The furniture is well worn and should all be trashed.

Not the worst place we’ve stayed. Hard to sleep with all the light in the room from the hallway and microwave. A party that went on until staff finally stopped it at 12:30am was the worst. Probably won’t be back.

Everything was fine until my group was consistently harassed by the night shift employee. We were just chatting and had a couple of laughs. None of us were drinking as I am pregnant, and he yelled to us a few times saying we were loud even though we weren’t and even threatened police. Never staying again.

Good for pet friendly. Furnishings showed signs of wear, but place was clean and comfortable. Probably the quietest place I have ever stayed. Breakfasts were not great, but eggs and bacon or sasauge and potatoe selections with the usual breads, yogurt, coffee. Nice kitchenette in room too. Best in price range for certain.

The front desk staff were nice, so they are not to be confused with the rest of this crappy stay. Our room keys didn’t work, multiple times, the hotel is definitely outdated and you hear every single sound all the way to the elevator dinging at all hours of the night, the tv didn’t work, the shower was terrible, and overall this was not a hotel id ever stay at again.

Was very upset about the noise, every night starting 10 pm, i don’t what was the reason, but i could feel the walls vibrating. I asked the registration to check what’s happening but was no result. The next day had to ask them to change my room. Still, being at another floor, i could hear it. This is my first time writing an review, that’s how pissed i am. So if you have an exam the next day like me, i would advice to think properly before choosing it.

Minor room issues, bulb missing in one lamp, another popped off when switch turned on. We just unplugged the lamp in case it was a short in the lamp. No toilet paper holder in bathroom. The annoying thing, was all leaf blowers at 6:45 a.m. Saturday morning. Loud enough to wake all us up on the 3rd floor.

The room size and accommodations were great. Unfortunately, the carpet was filthy. It was obvious it hadn't been vacuumed. There was also a very noticeable smell in the room that was off putting.

We stayed the night to save time the next day in getting to a race. The place is not in a terrible area, accessible to the highway, near gas station and Starbucks. The actual hotel looked nice on the outside, the lobby and some rooms. The staff was friendly. Our original room smelled really bad, so we got switched to a different room. The carpet in the hallway seems to be old or something because it smells and there was a lot of dog hair. The room we were given was on the third floor. It was clean and didn’t smell maybe because it looked like it was recently painted or remodeled. The carpet did have some stains. At night there were dogs barking every time someone walked through the hallway. I’m not sure if this something that happens all the time since we only stayed one night. There was continental breakfast included which was okay. Check in and out were simple and fast.

Bed was comfortable but i felt like the gave me their worst room for the discounted Hotels.com app price. Light bulbs were out. Poor lighting in the room overall. It had a zero equiped mini kitchen and no table to eat food on. It was supposed to have a sofa and coffee table but instead had a poorly placed queen sized bed damn near in the kitchen. The pillows need replacing. They were flat and just not comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the toilet was abnormally way too low to the ground. Exposed wires were behind the nightstand in the other bed i selpt in. I found that when i was looking for a plug. Had a small desk but no chair, making the desk useless. I used my laptop on the bed. I also at my dinner on the bed due to poor furniture availability. Althoughbivskept well, i doubt i would recommend this place to anyone seeking a deal. The free breakfast was terrible and served by a person. It was awkward and i prefer self service. I ended up next door at McDonalds. I dont mean to sound mean but it was truly an unpleasant experience. I watched another person dump his full plate of food in the trash and leave. Front desk staff seemed pleasant but uninterested in eye contact. This hotel needs major improvements. Especially compared to the hotel i spent 14 days at in Albany GA.

Front desk agent very helpful with what we needed, extra pillows and a missing lightbulb. Room could use some updates and paint. Bed is very comfortable and we have hot water. Didnt have that down the street at la quinta. Has a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave.
