My wife and I got an upgrade to help celebrate our anniversary. The inn keeper was extremely pleasant and could not do enough for us. The family atmosphere breakfast was just an added bonus. We will be going back. 10 out of 10.

The staff were so pleasant to talk to and since my wife and I were not able to climb stairs, we were upgraded to a first floor room. The breakfast served every day was so delicious and ready when we were. Everything we needed was taken care of by wonderful people. Also all the attractions are within walking distance since the hotel is located downtown. I highly recommend the Melville House and we will be staying there again.

This place was exactly what I was hoping for. Staying in a place built in the mid 1700’s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places was an exciting and culturally enriching experience. Great location, off street parking, and a very attentive staff made this an enjoyable visit.
