Our hotel rooms were nice and the staff was very freindly. I did have an isdue with booking though. When i booked i called about 5 days before our stay to request ajoining rooms and was told the style i booked did not have them. I switched one of the styles as directed for an upcharge. Then I called back day of and was told they didn't have any available and that the styles of rooms I booked did not have adjoining rooms and that they would put us next to each other. Upon arrival we found out that we were about 6 doors down from each other. It was a bit frustrating but it was just for one night.

Well I booked a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch for 7 people. Upon arrival I was given a room with a king size bed. Went back to the front desk and was told that you the third party make rooms up and don’t actually work with the hotels hand in hand to find out what kind of rooms they have. I was also told that this was a fire hazard to have 7 people in the room together. I had to get a roll away bed for this stay and squeeze everyone in that one room. You guys offered to get me into a different hotel but the closest one was 5 miles away and I could not be any further away as I was there for a cheer competition and was already far enough away from the competition site. You did credit me $50 but it still was a hassle to have to squeeze us into that room and not be really comfortable sleeping on what was a comfortable bed.

Safety latch on door was broken. The toilet was broken, about came off the floor. The bed had stains and hairs on it and was poorly made. Overall not great conditions, won’t be coming back.

The dining area was limited but food was more than most regular hotels had. The dining area was a bit dirty with food on the floor and seats. The room was okay, sheets were clean and felt newly washed. Bathroom had a small plaster worm under the sink. Pool was cold so my kids didn’t care for it.

It was very very noisy at the hotel. We had to move up a floor, and even then, it was still very noisy. The food was ok, the hard boiled eggs were borderline rotten and stank so bad. Overall, it was an ok stay.

Stayed 3 nights. Had 2 separate rooms. Key cards to get into our room literally would only work 1-2 times. Visiting to see a 2 night concert in Detroit, so we would get back to the hotel late, around 1-2 am. First night, we had to go to the front desk 4 times to get new key cards because they would not unlock our door. And every time after that we had to get new cards. Very frustrating. Both of our rooms had this issue. The counter person advised us to not put the cards by phones or by other cards in a wallet. Still they did not work more than once. Next, they checked us out of our rooms 2 days early and charged my card for both rooms. I did not want to use this particular card for payment, only to hold the rooms. Then charged the card I wanted to use twice for both rooms. Over $900 total. It took lots of back and forth (over 3 weeks) with multiple people to get refunded for this. Very disappointing. Poor communication. Nobody would call back when they said they would. No email when promised. Lastly, the breakfast was disappointing as well. Containers left empty. The woman taking care of this was not friendly at all. Wearing earbuds so you could not ask for her to refill any of the food. Did not smile or greet. Overall seems pretty typical of Detroit area and I’m not surprised. We won’t be staying here again.

The staff were very accommodating. The bathroom in the hotel had some cracked shelves. The beds were a little hard. The outside of the hotel had trash piling over onto the walkway.

We walked in to stains on the carpet, wall next to the bed, the tile, dead bugs amassed in the corners of the room, and even one (a large one) walking across the floor. We were so uncomfortable that we left, communicated that the the front desk-with no attempt to repair-and neither Holiday Inn Express nor Hotels.com would give us a refund. Do not stay here. It’s gross.

The hotel was definitely nice for the price! I did not get to take my child to enjoy the pool, as it was crowded with at least 10 children and no adult supervision. And these children were jumping in and out, and made it unsafe for my child to get in. This was for both days during my stay, so i wasn't able to wait and go another time. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay!

We only stayed one night but we had a long day so when we were ready to tuck in for the night everyone wanted to shower but there was no hot water for anyone. For the most part our stay was pretty good just a few minor inconveniences.

The hotel is great. Although they overbooked people so people were showing up that their reservations were cancelled and they didn’t tell them about it. Myself included. We had 2 rooms luckily were able to cram everyone in the one room that wasn’t cancelled. We made it work but we’re never notified that the one room was cancelled. Kind of upsetting.

The room smelled due to the shower curtain having a sour smell. The ceiling in the bathroom had black spots on it. The front desk was not manned well when I checked in our checked out.

Air conditioning not working for several rooms. Should have let me know about that before checking in or when I reported the problem, and return my money from reservation. Manager available until Monday. We were staying Friday night. Manager supposed to call me for follow-up. Never did. Did not return my phone call either. Only able to sleep few hours until room cooled down early morning.

I do not recommend this property. The place was filthy. Staff were on their phones and not attentive to guest. Hotel is run down and in desperate need of renovations. Breakfast was awful. Booked a double queen and it was two full beds. Do not stay here.
