Helpful staff, great location. Only wish there were curtains for privacy. The rooms and restrooms are small. The kitchen and other areas are nice

Great location downtown, easy access to get everywhere. Great things to explore walking in every direction. Easy access to public transportation. Very helpful staff. Big kitchen & common rooms to hang out. Thanks for a great visit. ;)

Fantastic location, service, and value. I booked a room with 2 double beds and a bathroom (shower/toilet) with a sink in the room called an en-suite. The bed was extremely comfortable, I was surprised how well I slept. The location is safe and exactly where you want to be in San Francisco, close to Union square. There were plenty of clean bathrooms and showers on every floor that were readily available at different times of my stay for several days. The kitchen is large and has a lot of windows to look out of and people watch while eating. There are utensils, plates, bowls and an oven/ fridge in the kitchen. Overall great stay and great value, I’ve been here at least 15-20 times over the last 15 years with family, kids, friends and have always had a great experience. My kids actually enjoyed this hostel more than the Hilton across the street as there are more common areas and they liked the bunk beds. Save your money and stay here, especially if this is your first hostel experience, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
