The Nol Hotel was very easy to get to from Kyoto Station and it is centrally located- close to the Nishiki Market and the busy shopping district. We loved walking around the neighborhood, exploring the shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. We really liked the small lobby and enjoyed making origami animals with the colorful paper provided.
The washer/dryer worked well once we google translated the directions. The directions from the QR code were complicated and not helpful. I suggest that you keep the washer/dryer door open because the heat builds up and it will overheat and stop drying. Do not dry more than 5-6 items at a time. You can dehydrate them and hang to dry.
There is no clock or coffee in the room, only tea. The coffee station is in the lobby. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful and we really liked the serene courtyard and garden space in our room.
