Beautifully renovated and incredibly picturesque. The front of house staff were lovely and provided amazing 5-star service throughout our stay. We also loved having the private spa room. It was such a nice way to relax and have some privacy while still staying cool in the Sardinian heat. The hotel itself really is a beautiful place.
We had quite a few issues with housekeeping. Washed dishes were left on the bathroom bench, consumables weren't always refilled, and one day they took our dirty bath towels but didn't replace them. When we asked, we were told they'd "run out for the day", so we were left with no towels.
Breakfast service was also inconsistent and it often felt like the staff and kitchen weren't on the same page. One morning we could get food to go, the next we were told it wasn't allowed. They'd also ask how we wanted our eggs cooked, but the request was rarely followed.
The biggest issue for us was the pool. La Suera is marketed as a peaceful, relaxing hotel, but there were young children jumping, screaming and splashing in the pool all day. It completely changed the atmosphere and we ended up avoiding the pool, which was disappointing considering it was a big reason we chose the hotel. I would only return if an age restriction was introduced.
They also need a rule against guests putting towels/books on sunbeds in the morning and then disappearing for hours. There aren't enough beds for people to reserve ones they aren't using.
Overall, it is beautiful, but I think they need to decide what kind of experience they're trying to offer and be less afraid to set some rules around it. At the moment, the experience doesn't quite match the way the hotel is marketed.

Centrally located- you could walk around the small village of San Pantaleo. Clean room. Nice and polite staff.
Very basic room regarding the decoration and with no amenities (eg a coffee machine). Just 2 small bottles of water given for free. Basic breakfast. No parking in the hotel! I don’t understand the price 300euros per night and how this was a 4-star hotel (we had no other option otherwise we would not have chosen that). Not quite recommended.
