Eine Oase der Ruhe in einem riesigen gepflegten Blumengarten.Das große Zimmer mit ebensolchem Bad im 1.Stock hat eine große Terrasse unter einem 100jährigem Baum, darunter auf der Veranda hat man auf dem langen Sofa Wifi. Sehr nette Menschen.Da der Park nur mit einem Ranger betreten werden darf, empfiehlt es sich gleich den Spaziergang mit Schenja zu buchen, da er Biologe ist und ausreichend Englisch spricht, den Permit besorgt und mit dem Allradwagen direkt zum Parkeingang fährt. Das Besucherzentrum ist 3 Häuser weiter von Schenja, nur die kleine Tür rechts ist offen und man muss ins Büro im 2.Stock und 200 KZT zahlen, dann kann man ein kleines Museum besichtien.Lohnt sich durchaus. Auch der Transfer vom Hotel in Shumkent und zum Bahnhof in Tjulkubas klappten reibungslos und zu vernünftigen Preisen

It should be remembered as one of my best travel experiences thanks to the warm-hearted host of this guest house! Although it is a low season for tourism, they arrange everything with devotion and care. I love the excursion in mountains and along the river by foot and every meal is different. The host himself is a biologist and showed me many pictures taken in different seasons in the mountains, which made this trip in UNESCO natural heritage more meaningful. Hope to pay a visit here back in the future.

Hosts are very nice, they will help you during your stay, answer questions, arrange transport, book activities, etc.
Rooms are basic but given the location, they are fine.
It is clean, though toilet smells a bit (I encountered this in many other rooms / hostels).
Environment is very nice. Entrance is through the back door and you must go through the garden, with walnut trees (you can pick and eat), flowers,.... The town, with horses and cows roaming around, is picturesque.
There was no water for nearly one day (no shower, cannot flush toilet, etc). I cannot blame at all the property as it seemed to be an area wide issue.
The meals are too expensive. I paid around 20EUR per day which is high for Kazak standards and the quality was not there. Breakfasts are very simple and not so tasty. Dinner was a bit better but not flying. Lunch was a disappointment (though I think it was thought as a lunch box). Hosts did not ask whether I wanted meals or not, I would had say yes, but they should ask. I understand this is very countryside and the challenges faced by hosts, but with just a little bit more though it could be sooo much better.
Bed is not very comfortable, though I had worse in Kazakstan (and better for similar price ;-)
There are no working electric sockets in the room. There are two, inconveniently placed, but both not working.
I would had wished more options regarding walks in the reserve, but this is nothing to do with the property.
Overall Rating: RECOMMENDED (without meals)
Note: There are not many choices in the area for eating out, so you might be "forced" to take it.
Overall I hace a nice stay in the property and town. Thank you.
