I stayed at 2 different places in rome, the other one was a « real » hotel but I liked cesare suites better!
Location was EXCELLENT!!! Walkable to all attractions, public transportation available. Taxi was so easy to find. Very close to airport. So many restaurants and cafes literally steps away. The owner was SOOO nice and available to answer our questions all the time on WhatsApp. He also took the time to recommend restaurants in most areas in rome and walked us through the map. Some reviews say that they had a hard time checking in but that was the opposite of our experience. He reached out to us prior (via whatsapp) to ask us what time we were arriving and everything was smooth. The room was really well stocked from toileteries to teas, coffee and snacks. The building is old but extremely well maintained and that really adds to the charm of the suites and makes the experience so authentic. The concierge of the building was very nice and friendly. The building was actually more accessible than the 4 star hotel we stayed in and the AC was better because the suites were recently renovated.
A couple of things I didnt like were: the safe was not working and despite feeling safe there, I really preferred having a safe. He did assure us he is ordering a new one but didn’t arrive before our check out date. The bathroom sink also had a bit of limescale which was a turn off for me. Otherwise the room was very clean and spacious.

This property is in a very nice and convenient location. The staff members were friendly and gave us some nice tips about Rome when we checked in. Free toiletries were provided as well as some water in the fridge. They also had a tea making station at the reception. There was an elevator in the building.
The room (especially the bathroom) was dirty, even though they were "cleaned" every day. I think all they did was make the bed and maybe vacuum. The bathroom had mold and the floor of the bathroom was visibly dirty.
The toilet seat was broken, as well as one of the flushing buttons. We had to be careful to use one button only, otherwise the water would keep running. The sink was also broken and the water did not go down unless the drain cover was removed.
The pillows were incredibly thin and seemingly old. When entering the room there was a smell of sewage.
While the location of the cafe where breakfast was served was convenient (just around the corner from the hotel's building), it was not really worth the price. We were offered a hot coffee drink, fresh orange juice and a pastry. I understand that this is a typical Italian breakfast, but I'm sure it would be possible to get a much more satiating breakfast nearby for 9€.
All in all, this hotel is fine for a last minute stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.
