Absolutely brilliant place and I highly recommend it. Everything has been well thought out to make it a perfect stay. I cannot praise the place high enough and hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did.

The bed was comfortable.
I moved rooms halfway through my stay (a very alcoolised guy was creeping me out) : the second room was much better than the first. Also the bathroom had a window, so it was not as humid/damp as the first one.
I only used the kitch once, but it seemed ok.
There are restaurants nearby, and a Tesco less than 5min away.
It's quite off centre.
The bedrooms are really small.
There is no reception. You have to use whatsapp to contact the owner (once I was there, she was quite reactive).
Adding lockers to the bedrooms would be nice (I mean free ones).
It's actually the only hostel in Douglas, so...

Clean and modern.
Big tub of empty beer and spirit bottles by the gate didn't give a good first impression. The kitchen isn't accessible between 11am and 7am.
I was in a room on the ground floor which is quite noisy from people coming and going through the main door and up/down the stairs quite late.
No other communal area. If you can't sleep or get woken up between 11pm and 7am you've no choice but to lay in bed counting down the hours until you can make a cup of tea/coffee
Could do with a sign directing to the kitchen, it's upstairs.
