The hotel is beautiful, the service/staff is rubbish.
- The spa was lovely and the hotel is decorated very nicely. - The location is ideal and picturesque. - Rooms are decorated nicely, modern, clean
- the stars were very unhelpful. Upon arrival we received no information about the spa usage or where they were (the hotel is a maze so a quick explanation would have been helpful). I had to chase down multiple members of staff for directions who all seemed like it was painful to explain to me. - the rooms do not have a kettle in which I find bizarre. Even the most run down roadside hotels I’ve been to have kettles so you can have tea or coffee in the morning. Instead you are forced to buy overpriced coffee at their bar or order room service where the service fee costs more than the drink. This would have made the stay relaxing rather than dreading getting out of bed at 7am on the hunt for coffee. - I had a lot of problems with the hotel before arriving. I was contacted by reception to say that I couldn’t use the room I’d booked the day before as I had a dog even though booking.com says the hotel was pet friendly. I was going to the hotel for my 30th birthday and had just booked it as another hotel had fallen through. My only option given was to book a spa suit for an extra €500 euros. I already pushed the boat out to pay for this room and if I cancelled I would have been stuck in the middle of Europe (we were travelling from another location on a Roadtrip) with nowhere to stay as I could not get my money back from the hotel for 7-14 days. I was absolutely distraught and crying. I had a panic attack talking on the phone with booking.com and then a couple of hours later the hotel said they would accommodate our stay with the dog. Suddenly they magically had a pet friendly room. So basically they lied to me in the first place causing me intense emotional harm. - my boyfriend requested that they do something nice for my birthday. They did not. - I asked for new towels and toilet roll from reception on one day in the morning, when we arrived back at night it was not there. - the pillows are terrible! - swimming pool women’s changing rooms smells like cigarettes

recommended luxury stay
the room was lovely, very clean, modern and comfortable. great pillow menu option that allowed me to have a firmer pillow. also a very cute sleepytime music option which was fun. the communal areas like the bar and lounge were beautifully decorated. the spa was lovely too, great selection of experience’s( just wish they were t spread across the hotel in different locations). the breakfast was top notch, really impressive spread. parking was great too.
the lady on the front desk was borderline rude, but the young man and staff at breakfast were delightful, but she did spoil the overall experience.
