My room was smelly.

The pools and walk to the beach was good.

Rooms not clean. Smelt of sweat and sewerage in the bathroom. Smell would not go away, staff sprayed the room as an easy fix solution. Our family next door had a non working air-conditioning and it took 3 days for it to be fixed. They eventually moved rooms. Then the new rooms shower did not work. The 5 days we were here we had been let down. I am waiting on the hotel to get back to me with a resolution otherwise I will take it further.

Don’t book this hotel! Ne bukirajte ovaj hotel!

I never leave bad reviews unless it’s really not a good value for the money and I want others to know. Two good things about this place is it’s friendly staff who are really trying their best but have really hard time since they receive 100s complaints a day. Great job staff, I wish you all to find better jobs! And the fact that they don’t water down alcohol. BAD STUFF: The room we got first had bed bugs and I got bitten the moment I took a nap. They changed the room but the damage was already done. The food is really not tasty, or fresh. We ate at the hotel 3 times only cause if this. I can eat anything and really have low standards cause I love eating but this was too bad even for me. The beach is so small and overcrowded so we were going to other beaches. It’s also ugly. The ACs are broken(the thing for directing the air is taken off. Trust me in every room since we had to change rooms cause of the bed bugs!) plus it takes long time to actually cool of the room. You also can’t adjust the temperature, it’s either 18c or off. Plus it turns off if the balcony door is open. I hate the fact I booked this place. But you live and you learn. Not their fault but Gümbet itself is the worst we saw on the whole peninsula. They are way better places.

By far the worse hotel I’ve stayed in Gumbet.

The pool areas

The food was disgusting and for hygiene purposes for instance the buttter wasn’t in small individual tubs but in a open bowl of iced water with fly’s landing on it from the start of the session till everything was cleared away. Also if something ran out like for instance dinner time at 8.15 and dinner was until 9.00 it wasn’t refilled. Also the standard of cleaning in the room was terrible I think each day a maximum of 2 minutes was spent by the cleaner in each room.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Yes the bedroom itself could have been slightly cleaner but it was super comfortable and had everything I needed. Loved the bathroom, which was clean and really nice.

Poor food, poor manager, Nice Staff

The rooms were nice especially nice if you have a baby and need a spare bed

we all didn’t like the taste of the foods- we are originally from Turkey and I can tell this, apart from baklava and cigkofte none of the food was representing our dishes and they all weren’t testy. Foods taste: poor Alcohol range: poor We visited the hotel in October, it is not the best time of the year from weather point of view. There were many pools but none of them is get warmed- my kids couldn’t enjoy the pool although they are normally dying for it. Hotel manager was so cold and seems arrogant never felt comfortable while he is around. the lady owner of the hotel was treating hotel stuff in an appropriate way, we as a family felt so sorry for the staff and didn’t like the way she is talking to people in front of the hotel customer- we encountered this a few times during our stay and because we know the language she was talking so we were really annoyed.

Second Stay

We have stayed here before and returned because we like the hotel as it offers good value for money. The swimming pools and Coconut beach are fantastic. The food has a good variety for adults. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are light and spacious and we had a pool and sea view.

Maybe they could do with a suitable menu for children.

Near the sea, nice territory of the hotel and tasty ice-cream

Wi-fi worked poor in our room and sometimes in other areas as well. The staff help but sometimes very slow and if you ask twice or more. Very poor lunch boxes when take excursions

the pools were great and it was nice that it was by the beach

If you can sustain little discomfort, then you can save a lot of money for the best beach available

Exceptional beach, which nullifies all negatives points.

Overcrowded restaurant - you have to be exactly at the opening time, poor choice of food. However, quality of food is good. Hotel is little bit noisy and certainly need renovation.

Nothing except the slides for the kids and the stuff who were doing all their best to pleased and help their customers

Room not clean properly with very old, worn-out bedding and towels , the food was disgusting not fresh at all just frozen with 0 hygiene and in 4 days stay never get the chance to find a space in the beach

Enjoyed our relaxing stay.

Nice room that was big and spacious with a large double bed, a single bed and a 2 seater sofa. The room was clean and well maintained. The cleaner was very friendly and helpful. The reception staff are helpful, professional and friendly. The lady behind the bar makes good cocktails and is friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome. The food is of the standard I would expect and some of the fresh cooked food was very tasty, Onor was very nice as a waiter and went out of his way to communicate and make us laugh. The pools are great with a river swimming pool that went past our room. The grounds are well maintained and are very relaxing. Memett wanders around the hotel selling boat trips and watersports, he hits the right notes and comes across as very professional and also relaxed.

The Palm bar was closed so it is a long walk to the pool bar and there is limited seating there.

Everything. The location , the staff, the rooms, beautiful pools, romantic atmosphere, light music during the dinner and the lunch time. Close to the beach. Kind staff! Close to the bus stop. Gumbet as a whole, is a wonderful place!

The wifi connection is not available everywhere.

Disappointed Hotel

The beach was nice. The guy that helped us out at the pool bar was very nice and attentive. His name was Ali. We went down to the beach, and were looking for a desk where to get towels. There were none. We were told we needed to go to reception. Neither one of us wanted to go up to reception to ask for towels. I guess one of the employees heard us complain amongst us about the hotel. To our surprise, this guy went to get us towels. Ali and the other guy made our stay a bit better,. Overall, I didn't like the hotel, nor the front desk staff. It seemed they cater more a group of tourists over other ones. I like Bodrum, but next time I will choose another hotel

To start off, my friends and I go to check in. The front desk agent takes all our information, and I give her cash for my share of the cost of the room. She says something in Turkish, which I didn't understand. Apparently she didn't speak English. Another agent looks at the reservation and goes inside the office. A guy walks out, and asks me how he can help me. I was surprised by his question as I didn't know I needed help. Shortly after, I realized they wanted to charge more than the price that was giving by booking. After I told him that I always book with booking, and I have never had a problem with any hotel ever. He had no choice but to honor the price that I was giving. He acted as if he was doing me a favor. On top of it, no one gave us any information about the hotel. The room was spacious. They gave us a suite that wasn't very clean. We had a view of a tree and a wall. I had requested a room with a view. The bathroom needs to be upgraded. I think the hotel needs need more upkeep.

Superb

Very good place for trip. Especially Tayfun and Yasemin animators are very nice and hepful. Staff is friendly. They have their own beach - very close. Sea is clean. Food- was good. Always have meat to eat. I like meat so it was quiete good for me.

Once towels were not clean we asked them to change and they changed for clean one.
