Location and the food.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin on the side of the hotel. Mistake - the hotel rooms are apparently much better. Musty and felt like hadn't been used for a while. Badly in need of some repairs including the mushy spot in the bathroom floor. Food was amazing though.

Staff were great - warm welcome and very helpful. room as advertised- small but adéquate - I had single room with ensuite. Small hotel with ni lift, as advertised but lots of parking outside so just took what I needed upstairs to my room. Was dated as expected, but Lovely view over the garden and loch, and a cosy bar and lounge area as well as the gardens. Had a lovely carrot and coriander soup for dinner - delicious. Unfortunately the chef did not arrive in the morning - of unknown whereabouts, so no cooked breakfast, but they were most apologetic and was given a generous discount and the coffee and continental breakfast was adequate. In my travels it is increasingly apparent the difficulty in getting enough staff in the context of housing crisis and increasing Airbnb’s-- nowhere for them to live which is sad and a lot of places struggle with this, especially in more remote locations- I had a great stay and would stay again if in the area.
